Hi Henry, thank you for your insights into UW's MSHCDE. You mentioned that there will be a lot of readings and articles at 6:40. I have a couple of questions regarding that:
1. is that part of the mandatory homework?
2. will there be a written test on that?
3. Do I have to give a presentation on what I've read and understood?
Yo! I’m not a UW HCDE student (was debating applying but didn’t want to wait for the cycle), but im a part of DePauls MS HCI program. I’m probably going to be moving to SEA at some point in the next year. Link up!
Hey Henry,
I'm currently a chemistry and psychology graduate, and thinking about UW HCDE as my next step. I would love to connect and ask you questions regarding the application process, and if you've had peers who've majored in bio/Chem who are in the program.
P.S I couldn't connect with you via LinkedIn :(
Hey Henry! How important is programming to succeed in this program? I have a social science background and math has never been my forte so will that aspect be difficult to handle?
Hey! I assume you mean computer programming, and the answer is you do not need any prior experience. I have a background in architecture history and community organizing, and math is not much of a focus
That’s a relief! Thankyou!
Hey Henry Just found your channel after receiving my offer! I wonder is it hard for MS HCDE students to find research opportunity with professors? thx in advance and love your content :)
congrats! It's been a while but I believe there are 1-2 credit courses that you can sign up for to be apart of a research team with either a PHD student or professor. I did not go this route, but think it would make for a beneficial learning experience.
That sounds great. Thank you Henry and all the best for your adventure!!!@@SeattleSausages
hey Henry, thanks for the great video as a student who is aiming to apply for UW soon. I’d love to ask you some questions and maybe hop on a call. Would you be up for it? By the way, please share your email so I can contact you personally. Thank you.
