      Those brookies definitely made us happy, great way to kick off the season. I really love that canoe, so light. Sammy really is the best, he loves being out there. Couldn't ask for a better dog.     Thanks for sharing. Do you mind me asking what spinner and lb test line you're using?

      I was using a chartreuse and orange rooster tail spinner with 6lb fluorocarbon line. I have had great success with that color combination fishing for brook trout. Thanks for watching, very much appreciated!

    I was out this weekend too. The beauty I caught was from shore as well. I had a Chocolate Lab too, his name was Choco : ) I miss him. Good video 👍 nice lake and trout

    its too bad the brook trout fishing is nothing like it used to be, the state record is only 6 lbs, New York has failed to properly protect its native fisheries

    Nice way to start your season. It was especially nice to hear the peepers, I've always had them in a field behind my house but for the first time in 45yrs there were none this spring. Guess the field wasn't wet enough.
