I think Emori is the better fit for John. Murphy loves raven but he's in love with Emori. Raven doesnt have the patience for Murphy. But i do agree Murphy and Raven make eachother a better person. They're both guarded people who really only showed vulnerability with each other from seasons 2 to 5

I think 1:24 when Raven says boo-hoo in response to Murphy's childhood trauma story made him realize that he needed to prove his self worth to his people and himself. Everyone has been fairly lenient towards Murphy's behavior up to that point and Raven, in that moment made him realize that his childhood experiences don't excuse his behavior. Re-watching the series I noticed after this point he started growing as a character.
I never understood why people thought they had chemistry until I watched season 5 and then I started realizing all the moments they've shared from season 1-5. Can't wait to see them in season 6 but she might still be with Shaw
The editing on this is so delicate and powerful, the way you linger on certain looks, the way you weaved the dialogue showing their development together, and this was just the PERFECT song ugh i literally started crying, this is beautiful
