This video is about Queen rearing in Nepal and its relevance to Ugandan beekeeping today. (a few people have asked - the plant Ishwori uses to treat tropilaepsis mite is artemisia annual.)
This is an absolutely amazing video. I was already blown away by the Queen rearing, then you showed the swarms on the hotel and ...WOW! Thanks for posting.
Malaika will you write down the name of the plant where the beekeeper used inside the bee box to treat diseases. I would like to use natural herbs to ward off mites. Please help.
I enjoyed watching your instruction on queen bees. very informative. I do have a question, during grafting I sometimes find there is not enough royal jelly in cell, and I cant obtain enough from other hives. Is there a substitute that can be used as royal jelly to place the larvae in? Is there a royal jelly product that is sold? again a very pleasing video. Thank You beesbuzz52
Hi Bruno, if there is not enough royal jelly the Queen cells will not develop I imagine. Perhaps your colonies are not strong enough. Sorry I cannot help you as I have not encountered this. You may try and propagate royal jelly and feed your larvae but not sure if that helps either.
People who are incapable of apprehension, blame others for their stupidity, she travelled all the way from Africa to Nepal to accomplish this informative video, which I find to be very educational, you stupid lazy.
