God I remember 9/11, I was at my house with my 8-year-old son Ben, My Husband Larry had to go to work, he's a bank manager at the local bank of the town where we live in Canton, South Dakota, I was in the kitchen washing the dishes in the kitchen sink, Ben was in his bedroom watching his favorite Walt Disney Movie, "Oliver & Company", In the living room an episode of "Little House On The Prairie" (it was the episode of when that old house that they've turned into a school for all of those poor blind kids was on fire) (and when it used to be on the Super-Station T.B.S. Network) was shown on TV in the entertainment Center, I was on the last bowl, when I heard Something else on TV, I put the bowl in the drainer to dry, walked out of the kitchen, and walked into the living room, I saw this happening, I rushed up the stairs, and stood in Ben's bedroom door, I told him to stay in his bedroom, I closed his bedroom door, I rushed down the stairs and continued watching this.
Well, very soon it's going to be 16 years My mother took me home early from daycare the day it happened and held me close. I may not remember the tragedy first hand, but living in New York and this beautiful country my entire life, I see how horrible it was. My heart goes out to the many families affected to this.

the thing that strikes me about this is the ages of some of the victims. there were children and some of them were around the ages of my older siblings at the time like 23, 24 and 25. 16 years ago, I was at my house with my 6-year-old son Tyler and my 1-month-old daughter Zoe, I was sitting on the recliner holding Baby Zoe in my arms and bottle-feeding Her, I had a Burping Rag on my shoulder, and was watching on TV an Episode Of "Little House On The Prairie" (when It was on the Super-Station T B S at that Time, and It was The Episode Of when That Old House That They've Rebuild Into a School For All Of Those Poor Blind Kids was on Fire), Tyler was Sitting on the couch, watching on his Portable DVD Player His Favorite DVD, "Pokemon 3 The Movie". I had just got done Bottle Feeding Zoe, and was putting her down in the Bassinet Crib for her nap, I had my back to the TV for one hour, until i looked over my shoulder and i saw this happening, I quickly Shielded Tyler from seeing it, I told him to finish watching his Movie in his bedroom, he got up from the couch and left, after he was gone I started watching this.
I wish *I* didn't remember it but we watched while our loved one died - and never received remains matching his DNA sample. 2,989 ppl died that day and is even more than that if you count people they haven't formally recognized by putting their name on the wall.
I wish I best for victims family & 9/11 survivors and it was just such a tragedy for everyone involved and also my grandpa has a picture of one of the planes crashing in to the south tower but I wish the best and nothing ever happened like this ever again❤
