There are many weekly rides in Chiang Mai, specially on weekends, you can join for sure! We have a weekly Sunday ride too, check more details here: facebook.com/groups/doigrupetto
Are there any good rental shops in Chiang Mai? I've been there twice before, but not since I've gotten into cycling. I live in HCMC, Vietnam and want to go riding in a few places in SE Asia, Chiang Mai being near the top of the list.
Another great video! Im visiting Chiang Mai for 3 weeks and looking for group rides to join - any recommendations? Im only a 4.3 w/kg FTP rider but not bad on the flats. Cheers!
ONLY 4.3?!! 🤣🤣🤣 That's waaaay more than the average rider here! We meet every Sunday at 8am for a doi Suthep tempo ride. At Seven Eleven opposite Chiang Mai Uni front gate, welcome to join!
@@CyclingChiangMai I say only because I see the roojai/nich guys and they are monsters. Doi on Sunday sounds good, with the 55 ride on Saturday and this ride on Sunday thats the weekend sorted - any recommendations for weekdays?
@@SomBikes hehe yeah there are some exceptionally strong riders, but the average bunch is around 3-3.5 w/kg. Sorry, I'm not aware of a regular ride on weekdays :(
😂😂 yeah, after almost 5 years my Garmin died. Couldn't resist any more rainy season rides! Actually 54 ring for the flat sounds great, gotta try one day when I'm too old for the hills :)
Thank you for the video! Good way to start the week, been missing your content, keeps me looking forward to riding there in January.
Thank you so much! Your support means a lot to us 😊💪🏻 Hope to see you in January!
Enjoyed this video, Luis. Excellent flat terrain training ride. 🚴♂️🚲🚴🏻
Thanks, Rob! Chiang Mai is really a paradise for cycling climbs but also pretty nice flat riding in the valleys!
@@CyclingChiangMai I am really looking forward to my return to Chiang Mai in mid October. I am going to bring my S-Works bike this time.
Talking about Piccolo coffee reminds me of good old memories.
@@kevinshin2005 hehe piccolo latte connoisseur! iykyk 🙏🏻✌🏻

That would be cool! Samui is definitely on the bucket list, I want to do that Lamai climb that I hear it’s brutal! 🤣 hope to see you soon!
Hope to join you guys before too long. How often does the group go out?
Do you know the owners of the Vanilla place?

Wow too many people live in Chiang mi. Where is a small place no people???
Around 200,000 people live in Chiang Mai city area, small but maybe the 2nd or 3rd in Thailand! :)
@CyclingChiangMai Where can I got to get away from people in Thailand like 5,000 or fewer people...
@@jaredfontaine2002 go to Nan-Pua area, amazing cycling, small place :)
@@CyclingChiangMai How big?
@@CyclingChiangMai 2nd this, Nan province is beautiful, giant hills and very few people comparatively
