I always like it when it seems you almost surprise yourself with how good that first taste is. Haha. Great recipe as always, keep up the great work!

Going salmon fishing on Lake Michigan every June, I usually haul in about 70 lbs of fresh Coho & King salmon along with some big Brownies. This is a great new way to prepare them through out the fall. THANKS!!

abukolt01 which part of Lake Michigan do you fish on? I live by the lake but I wouldn’t fish where I live because of pollution but I heard that some areas are great and have good salmon during the right time of the year?

MAGICAL. I'd like to see this in a,bread bowl. That would push the presentation over the edge. Thank you, you are a food magician.

The best (my favorite) hot sauce for soups and such is the one I make for tacos. Take those skinny dried out red chili peppers and blend them with water until smooth, season with salt to taste and voila. Simple, but so versatile. I put that on almost all my food, but it's superb on the broccoli cheddar soup I make. I'm sure it would pair well with this dish too!

That looks good. My favorite recipe with smoked salmon is a Smoked Salmon Ruben Sandwich with a Bloody Mary on the side.

Sine the protein is salmon, why not use Seafood Stock instead of Vegetable Stock?

Looks delicious. I think I would avoid the cream cheese and use heavy whipping cream instead of half n half to account for that.

Nice job on the reminder that mirepoix is onions, carrots, and celery. Add garlic to that and you have soffrito.

Just curious where are those grills set up? It seems like you are close to the street as you can hear the cars. Seems like a unique set up

    • @ShaneWalta

They have a store in Wichita, Kansas. I'd guess the grills are all set up in view of the street

GamersAlmanac If you look up All Things Barbeque in Wichita, Kansas on something like google maps, you’ll see a dark colored metal roof. That’s a covered area where the grills are setup.
