    Hey guys, we are loving Airbnb. Love the porch. How much is the nightly rate? The outdoor space is lovely. Dinner sounds and looks yummy. Wow, that was an awesome dive. You guys saw so many things. Congratulations on visiting every country in South America.

      They have some of the best dive footage. 👋

      So we booked the hotel through hotels.com- we like to use the "book now, pay later" feature that they offer on some listings. The nightly rate here was about $150/ night. Very pricey compared to what we pay nightly for Airbnbs- which is about $70/ night max.

    The frogfish looked so unpleasantly surprised to have visitors hahah.

      @@VeganVoyagers I had to stop and stare at the first one, it's incredible the camo abilities of some things.

    Wow you guys blasted thru Central American. Loved the diving. Had no idea there was such a thing as a frog fish. Wish I had the 🏀 🏀 to do it.

      The frog fish might be one of the strangest looking creatures in the ocean! We were so excited to finally find them after almost 150 dives.

    When was the diving footage filmed? Curious what the visibility was and what the water temp was?! We are thinking of making a stop here in the next couple weeks. Thanks!

      This was filmed at the very end of January 2022. The water temperature was about 27 degrees Celsius but there are some possible thermoclines so that can range as well. Visibility wasn’t mind blowing but it wasn’t too bad either. Definitely not Caribbean style diving!

      @@VeganVoyagers thanks for the info! We are in Las Perlas now and the water is freezing! The upwelling has made Viz shit as well. We are hoping Coiba will be a bit better. We are hitting it at a bad time I guess! 😭

    • @VeganVoyagers
      @VeganVoyagers  2 роки тому +1

      @@SailingOneLife yeah those upwellings will drop temperature and viz real fast! That’s a bummer and we hope Coiba turns your trip around!

    How’s driving in Panama? I’m headed to Santa Catalina in September for diving as well and was wondering if it would be better to drive from Panama City to Santa Catalina or to take public transportation? Also I read that it’s hard to find gas upon entering Santa Catalina, is that true?

    • @VeganVoyagers
      @VeganVoyagers  2 роки тому +1

      We're glad we rented a car, it was pretty easy to drive there from Panama City. YES it's true there is no gas once you turn off the main highway. BUT we had a car that had great gas mileage- some dumb Kia or whatever- and only got gas right at the end after a 10 hour drive... so it wasn't much of an issue.
