How deep did you end up going? It looked like around 40'. I had heard that the hammerheads were like 100+' deep.
The water must have been pretty warm too!
And finally, when does the 4 hour director's cut come out?
Absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing this. Best watched in one sitting in a relaxed place.

The first 2 dives were at N Seymour Island- max depth was about 24 meters. The second 2 dives were at Gordon Rocks- here there was a large dropoff- so max depth could be much deeper, but the sharks were not too deep. Our max depth there was- 20 meters. Water was on the colder side- but we HATE wetsuits... Everyone else wore a wetsuit except for us. At Gordon Rocks there was an intense thermocline- so you'd get hit with some pretty cold water every once in awhile- this also made the visibility quite bad. Water temp was 27C.

Hayden & Aaron, Your underwater video looks great! I assume it is shot on your GoPro 8. If so, do you use a red filter or do any post color grading? If so, what? Also, would you mind sharing your underwater GoPro settings? I loved your Bonaire video. I am going there in May to dive and bringing my new GoPro 10. Any underwater video advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Our Bonaire video was shot on an 8 with a red filter and some post processing. This video, however, was show raw on a 10 with just a little processing. The 10 does such a phenomenal job of adding the color back in! We will have to get back to you with our settings but as far as advice goes, you can’t get as close as you would like because the GoPro has trouble focusing and will instead focus on the background. We’ve chucked so many shots of nudibranches because of this :(

Hello! I know you have a link for the gear you use, nevertheless I wanted to ask what accessories did you use for the GoPro? And which one, it looks like a professional camera! We are going to dive there in about 20 days ! :)

    Hi,
I am working on a small documentary project where we are diving around Europe. We are observing trends and highlight questions as marine protected areas and overfishing. The dire situation of the hammerhead shark is mentioned and I wonder if we could use any of this great material in the documentary?
Let me know if this sounds interesting and how you would want to be credited etc.
    Best regards
    Mattias Granberg
