I came across this almost by accident on Wednesday in Boots Chemist at Gemini Retail Park. My mum used to wear Chanel No 5, she died in August 2020 . I was wondering if I should smell it again but thought it might be too emotional for me. The sales lady showed me the latest perfume release of Gabrielle L'Eau and she sprayed some on my wrist. I wasn't sure at first but as the perfume developed on my skin as I walked around the store I started to love it. I'm not usually a sweet, flowery type of perfume woman but this is gorgeous. I will see if I can wait till Christmas before I buy it as it is outside my budget and I want to see what deals they come up for Christmas, maybe the perfume and some body lotion so I can layer the fragrance. I'm not sure if my willpower will hold till Christmas though.

It was a love at first sniff for me too! I usually dislike anything Chanel especially anything Coco Mademoiselle, Gabrielle, #5, #19, etc. And because it is not really like any Chanel, I like it. I must dislike mainstream Chanel DNA, except maybe Allure.

Im not a fan of the original, but I really really like this one. Wished the longevity was better 🤍
