- What's kickin', y'all?! This is the first video in my Shining Pearl version Shiny Badge Quest!
I was able to secure my shiny starter Chimchar, as well as an unpleasant surprise along the way.

Congratulations I watched every shiny chim hunt for motivation inc yours. Took me 85 hours - 0 starlys, 3900-4000resets /4092 and I finally got my shiny Chimchar today. Been trying since release months ago.

Your video I kid you not, made me find a shiny Chimchar. I was in the grand underground, searching for a good natured chimchar, and boom I found one with full odds AND it was a timid nature for fast sweep. I will now sub to you and watch all your videos since you gave me the good luck.

Sometimes I think I got a Shiny Starly, but it's only the lighting from the sunrise/sunset in game once it starts to turn morning or turn night.
Dang Eterna with 2 games is going to go so fast XD

Same here It took me a week from Sunday to Sunday soft resetting that Sunday I reset from 4am till 11am then again from 1pm till 4:30pm and I got my shiny chimchar it was such a relief and just pure joy I got mine
I’m still goin strong, 300 hours later. I’ll have the pink monkey one day.
Currently at 180+ hrs according to the switch with 5890 SR for Chimcar. Losing hope, but watching everyone get theirs is really a good motivation. Kinda jealous how quickly you got yours along with that shiny Starly encounter (which I haven't seen as well)
Keep it up! You're bound to get it soon! If it makes you feel better, I had a Regirock hunt in SWSH last year that took 22,571 encounters! For every short hunt, there's at least a few long ones!

i have a question. does it matter if you reset while the pokemon comes out of the pokeball, or do you have to wait until you get to the battle screen and the reset? or rather does it matter if you reset during that point or not

I have a question and google ain’t helping. So I’ve been shiny hunting for 8 hours and accidentally updated my switch and after the update my switch restarted. Does that break my shiny count????? Please help 😢
That won't affect your shiny odds are all. Each reset will always be 1/4,096 chance of getting a shiny. It's never guaranteed - even if you do 10,000 encounters.
