It’s the same premise as multiple consoles, the only difference is that it makes sense to count every double grass encounter as 2.
It's definitely very time consuming and isn't for everyone. Tbh the best thing about hunting is the friends you make along the way. Like there's absolutely no way I'd full odds hunt without streaming over on twitch. I have to be doing something other than pressing buttons

Great video, but when you said that you didn't want a budew but wanted wurmple, silcoon, or beautifly, it hurt so bad. I went 135 hours phasing 7 times before finally getting a budew. 😭😭😭

i've spent over 1000 hrs on one shiny for my dtq in BW going for venipede and cotonee (50% combined) havent got a single one with 13 phases and 70k encounters :
i can't freakin imagine you got to 7.7k SRs on a Spiritomb. I am currently on 1500-ish on my Heatran right now after cathing my Shiny Giratina at only 851 SRs. I hope this suffering ends soon

At the beginning I used shinyhunt. It's both an app and website. I eventually switched to an auto counter
did the same and it took over 2 years to get 3 shinys
