I could tell in the first 2min that this was going to be a 2 part episode! This guy has been waiting a long time to break this beast down for us. Killer build! Can’t wait to see the rest!
I remember seeing this and watching it run in the desert over and over again to the point my wife got fed up with the noise coming out of the workshop, and this sent me down the Trophy Truck and class 8 then Pre-Runner's and never having a car again , and all my 5th scale gas trucks looking like the early 80's and 90's Baja, Stadium Trucks then Shortcourse racing and all my mates confused as in the UK it was not and still not overly known about, but I have been an ardent fan ever since.
That truck is sick!! On top of that it has twin turbo 460 big block Ford!! That’s the way it’s done!😎🇺🇸
Oh Yeah....John knows what he's doing...he's been racing and driving and designing world-class off-road trucks and motorcycles for 30 years with the Top Baha racing teams.....He's one of the top and most experienced builders in this entire industry. VERY privileged to have been riding motorcycles in So CA and Baha several times with him.

the F2000 video was everything for me growing up. I watched that video over and over again. That is one of the first super clean F100 trucks
You can tell he loves this truck by how he talks about it. The care and thought that went into this build is impressive. I'm really looking forward to part 2.
My first shop was in El Cajon, across the way from one of the og dynos in town. In the evening I would always go check out what was spinning over there. The only thing that cranked harder than this runner was that same years Lamborghini Diablo. We were all in disbelief watching the computer screen. Had a good conversation with John about his truck, and some of the ideas they went with. This dudes fiberglass cost more than a lot of decent builds back then. Looking back, i wonder if this was fords inspiration for all the ecoboost stuff we have now?

1 MPG? something not right.. even 2mpg make no sense
He was talking about when it was carbed.. you don't have as much control like fuel injection under lower load conditions so to make sure it has enough fuel under high boost the lower and mid range was very rich. Plus it's 460 Cubic inches and a heavy truck with a big axle, trans and tires. Maybe he was off or exaggerating a bit but it wouldn't surprise me that it would be especially bad with a carb.
