- Come with us as we travel through the 1.6 mile long Harecastle tunnel heading south on the Trent and Mersey canal. Its damp and very creepy...is it haunted?
Once through, we continue on and find a beautiful mooring next to a lake where we stop for a couple of days to do some work and explore.

Hi! New follower here, from Gothenburg, Sweden, coming to you as next couple living on the canals as some of my previous couples and singles I followed have finished cruising or almost made the complete system of canals and waterways. Waking up, studying the morning paper, finding your channel on UA-cam, having a cup of coffee at about a quarter to eight in the morning following you through what David "Cruising the Cut" calls Scarecastle was a nice start of the day even when you made the tunnel-part rather short. Will catch up with you quickly and then follow you around I hope.

Hall Green is a stop lock to get money from the boaters of long ago. The water only goes up 12 inch and its nice to see the dog in the old toll cottage on a sunny day. 👏👏👏😎

I think this is the fourth time I've been through Harecastle Tunnel on 4 different boats via 4 different channels. It's always exciting whilst at the same time a bit scary too. I loved your video. Never seen so many geese in one place like that.

You show the very detailed maps in the book that you are using and would like to buy the same book. Great you got your engine fixed .. on, on, on!
Thank you! It is the Nicholson guide to the waterways, there are several books depending on the area. Good luck with your boating!

The parking differs and sometimes we just see somewhere that works, other times it can be a bit more stressful, but we've managed so far!
