Cannibal is a steel roller coaster at Lagoon amusement park in Farmington, Utah, United States. Opened on July 2, 2015, the $22-million ride was built and designed mostly in-house - a rare move for an amusement park. It features the steepest drop in North America, fourth-steepest in the world, and holds the world record for the tallest beyond-vertical drop on a roller coaster.
Nearly seventy-five percent of Cannibal was designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house by Lagoon amusement park with the help of multiple firms located in Utah. The lead designer was Lagoon's Dal Freeman. In an era when most amusement parks outsource the work to companies in Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, the decision to build in-house is rare and bold move in the industry. The roller coaster features a 208-foot-tall (63 m) enclosed tower, a beyond-vertical drop of 116 degrees, a themed underground tunnel, and a 360-degree helix situated above a man-made waterfall. It also features four inversions that include a 140-foot-tall (43 m) Immelman loop, a dive loop, and a unique inversion the park calls the "Lagoon roll," which consists of a counter-clockwise heartline roll immediately followed by a clockwise heartline roll. Lap bar-only restraints are used on the trains which travel up to 70 miles per hour (110 km/h) and pull as much as 4.2 G's.
The ride had been in the planning stages for more than five years and required more than two years to build. Prior to its planned opening in the spring of 2015, Lagoon announced that the roller coaster's debut would be postponed for additional testing and inspections. The ride officially opened on July 2, 2015.
The roller coaster features a 208 feet (63 m) elevator lift, enclosed in a huge tower structure, a 116° beyond vertical drop, inversions including an Immelman-like loop as well as an inversion unique to the park, a water feature, and a tunnel 20 feet (6.1 m) underground. It is the tallest roller coaster in the state and the longest ride in the park. The ride cars accommodate 12 passengers (3 rows of 4), and the duration of the ride lasts approximately two and a half minutes.

i love this ride
I once went on this ride during a thunderstorm before it closed due to weather. Once we got to the top of the elevator, a giant bolt of lightning struck in front of us just before we dropped. Most epic thing to ever happen to me on a coaster

Went a couple weeks ago, def one of my favorite coasters! The drop is amazing but it has nothing on the awesome hangtime of the lagoon roll, crazy how they can get away with that with just lap bars!

Yes, finally more lagoon
I've been on that twice when I had a seasonal pass. It's the most fun ride in the whole park. Got a great view on the top. I was always a chicken about roller coaster but this one is not as scary as you think when you look it up on the ground. Don't let the size, the height and the complicated twist deceive you that this ride is very intense and scary. I would say this rollar coaster gives you a rather smooth and enjoyable ride expereince.

did you do it? If so I hope you liked it. Here's a tip for riding big coasters if you're scared. Always remember that these coasters are one of the safest things in the world. My second tip is to take deep breaths and calm down. As much as possible do not back out, how do you know it's scary without trying it? At the part of the drop, just scream as loud as you can, no one will think you're scared if you're screaming. I hope this helped:) have a good day and here's a cookie🍪
