Great vid. I noticed your rear diff is leaking. Is it OK that your differential is leaking oil? Mine has oil ALL OVER IT - from top to bottom. Not sure how that's even possible.

this oil leak is common on the bmw, as long as it it not loosing excessively (you see fresh oil and drips on the ground where you park), you can drive it like it is. On my vehicle it lost less than 100-150ml in 4 years. I have done the oil change and after 4 years extracted it and it was not a major loss. Top it up from time to time and you will be ok.

What did you press on? How do i rotate the drive shaft by hand to reach the other bolts on the flex disc?

my gearbox has on one side a leaver(metal L shape) connected to a cable that is used for the emergency Park release. Some newer automatic gearbox might not have it and there is a procedure you need to to from inside the car to engage Neutral. worst case ... if you don't have a mechanical release ... find out the procedure from inside the car and put the gearbox in N

Do you have to replace the bolts and nuts with new ones?

Reason for changing this? Vibrations? Mine has 174k km on the clock.

No symptoms. I just did not like how it looked like. Also have been testing some remapping tools and this being a part that will be stressed more I decided to change it.

@@BestCarMods roger that! Mine has a stage 1 on it so I will check this guibo condition out when I do the diff oil replacement. Seen a few videos of the guibo being cracked even at low milage.

@@ir655 my car had/has a kick when you go from engine braking (less than 1200 rpm in normal mode) to acceleration in Manual sport. It is due to the play in the transmission, and to reduce it i have changed the diff main bushing and the guibo... it has improved it but it is still present. I know that I am crazy to want it to be crazy smooth, because you feel something like this even on a manual car, but we can only try ... and maybe I also enjoy changing parts on my car ...

Lets set the context .. so tell me engine, type of geabox, sedan or estate, can you try and see if vibration is dependent on the speed you travel or on the engine RPM ?
