Hey thanks a lot for the video. I wouldn’t say that we have lied though. We discuss our durability in relation to driving conditions. And as you stated, these were chemicals meant to remove sealants. But if we did state that TLC will withstand an iron remover followed by a product specific to stripping sealants, please let me know and we’ll make sure to change that. But as far as I know we’ve never stated that. And I don’t know why it’s being said a bottle is $50. A 16 oz bottle retails at $39.97 for one, and goes down when buying more to as low as $24.97/bottle. I do encourage people to watch and read other reviews of our products that are out there. The good far far outweigh the bad in real world use and application. We have no problem with torture tests like this, and chemical resistance is one aspect of a product. I’d encourage people to speak to an actual chemist if they want to see why chemical testing isn’t simply A + B = C. They are in isolation for whatever surfactants are in the particular stress product. It’s catchy and trendy and gets views, but doesn’t show the complete spectrum of durability. I understand I’m in a hornets hive of sorts and this may fall on deaf ears. I think more indicative of full spectrum performance and customer satisfaction is the fact we have over 1000 positive reviews and tons of happy, returning customers who enjoy the ease of use, versatility for pretty much all surfaces and application methods, visual results, ease of cleaning the surface after using... and we 100% stand by our products, with a 365 day guarantee. If our products were “junk” in the real world with real customers, we would go broke with our guarantee. 👍🏼

Auto Detailing Podcast thanks for the reply. At 13:31 you say “I think we’ve all been lied to.” That came across as a statement, not a question. We created a product tons of people love and provide great customer service. Not sure the reason for statements like that when we haven’t made those sorts of claims.

** The Instructions on that Triple Clean spray SAYS NOT TO GET ON PAINT! **
I for one feel that the results of this test were unfair. The only thing I can see from this video is that the Triple Cleaning foam product used did its job; strip contamination, which includes waxes and polishes). The spray they used here says right on the bottle to NOT GET ON THE PAINT.. So I would think that if it is too strong for the PAINT that it sure as heck will remove standard protectants ON the paint as well. Standard protectants are not going to be a hard shell like a paints clearcoat nor an actual professional ceramic coating so of course, I would think it would remove it and pretty much anything else "softer" sitting on the surface of the clear.
I personally don't recall ever seeing them indicating that it would withstand products that would, in other words, remove standard protectants from the surface. Now if we are talking about claims, I would have a different opinion on something such as Shine Armor in which they advertise it as being 20X Glossier and 20X Stronger and all other products which means they are basing their claims on even CERAMICS. If we were talking about Shine Armor being watered down by a product that should be only affecting a standard protectant, then yeah... But I don't believe TLC is ceramic so I don't see what wrong was done.
Now before people accuse me of being part of TLC or whatever, I am not affiliated with them, sponsored by them, or have I, nor will I, ever post any paid affiliate linkage on my video's, nor do I make ANY money whatsoever. My comments on my experience with it.
My background. I drive a 1992 Camaro Z28 in which I take to many local cars shows in the area. I have used quite a few different products and so I am VERY picky about what products I use on the car. I was using Zaino for 15 years before I came across TopCoat F11 in which I used it for the Summer of 2017. We had a dry heatwave with VERY little rain and due to the weekly shows, I would be re-applying F11 weekly before my shows. Until the shows stopped and the weather changed to Rain (usually Sep/Oct) I realized F11 was disappearing off the car very quickly. I stopped using F11 and came across TLC and started using it thinking it was the same thing.. Perhaps even being relabeled since Shine Armor in even their advertisements (and website) indicate they are a RELABELED PEAL NANO, I realized after it rained that it was not the same company.. And the results I got definitely were not the same as what I got with F11. I did tests and found TLC worked far better on my car than anything else I used and so I praise the product whenever I can.
Just like F11 before I realized it was not working for me, I HIGHLY praised the product and told everyone I know about it. Believe me, I had people telling me to stop bragging about it and use the standard (Adams, Chemical Guys...).. But I insisted it was better until like I said, I realized it was not giving me the results I thought I would get (I even had a gallon of this stuff left :-( )
Anyways, back to my original topic LOL.
When I really like a product, I will praise them and tell everyone about it. Everyone I know who has a car knows about TLC and are absolutely speechless when they see the results, not only on my car but THEIRS. I've used their products on my car since the Spring of 2018 and if I found it gave me negative results, you sure as heck bet I would be jumping on board with what it being said. However, I don't feel that the results here are very fair from what I have been able to see. I've used TLC thru rain, snow, and of course, sun and I have never had any issue.. I can add some more TLC with literally 1/4oz.. so that bottle should last quite a while. Speaking of which, I just checked their website and you guys are claiming the bottle costs $50.. The price is the same as when I bought it and it still $39.99us for the 16oz bottle. $49.99 is for the KIT (The Bottle and microfiber towels).
Since my purchase last year, they went from 30 days warranty to 1 YEAR.. That alone for me speaks volumes.
Anyways, I stand behind TLC and it does an amazing job on MY cars and I don't see any negative results from what I have used it.
If you used IRONX, IPA, Claybar or even a degreaser, it not likely to remove an actual ceramic coating, but it would a standard protectant like the F11's. TLC's, Shine Armors, and wax's and polishes. If they were making claims to being an actual CERAMIC, then YES I would completely agree that those above should not have affected the product but we aren't talking about a ceramic here, are we? As a result, I fail to see what The Last Coat TLC did wrong or what they mislead us with?
I will still strongly stand behind them since I have no reason to currently change that.

I have tried many different paint protectants(wax/sealants) and TLC along with Beadmaker have been the only two that I have tried that have given me the results I was looking for. I religiously detail my vehicles along with being on the road a lot with them between washes. Daily driver. I have found that this product needs about 10-20 minutes to cure in my current weather conditions/humidity. I will admit the first test panel I did on my truck I was not very impressed and immediately became disappointed as it performed just like all the others. I also DID NOT prep the surface. I had the same results that are seen here. However, the second time I tried it, I fully prepped the panel(strip wash x2 with alkaline based soaps, iron remover, clay bar, and two IPA wipe downs.) After doing this (which is the correct way as prep work for ANYTHING in life is everything) the product went on easily with no streaking and I allowed 20 minutes of cure time (bottle and card in the packaging say 7-10 minutes) and I am blown away by the results. For the first time I don’t feel the need to have to wash my vehicle every day. It’s glossy, slick, tight water beading AND sheeting. It repels everything that it has come in contact with. I did not do a torture test like you have in this video however if I spray an iron remover and/or a strong degreaser on any protected surface, I expect to reapply a protectant. Nothing is bullet proof and I think we rely entirely too much on products keeping our vehicles clean without putting in elbow grease along with it. You want a showroom finish on a daily driver? You are going to have to constantly maintain that vehicle in some way. This product has performed as advertised in my experience. I also paid 20 bucks a bottle. Are there products out there that top this? Probably. But it is based on prep work, application, environment, bias, and many other factors. I for one will continue to use TLC until I find a reason not to. I appreciate all you guys out here shooting these videos demonstrating products and performing torture tests on them but there are certainly many other factors at play. Nice video!

I wanted to try The Last Coat as I like the idea of also using The Last Soap to apply some kind of protection under my roof rack which makes it nearly impossible to efficiently apply protection products to the paint underneath...
Yesterday, I washed, iron x, claybarred, and IPA wiped. I then used The Last Soap to wash the vehicle, then dried, then applied TLC. The Last Soap didn't seem to make any difference in beading/sheeting before and after using it to wash. Afterwards, The Last Coat spray was applied easily enough every where (except under the roof rack) using about 1/5 of the spray bottle. I drove the car today in perfect weather and parked it outside while at work, and it seems like it actually attracts more dust/pollen. My wife's car came home with noticeably less dust/pollen (I use Meguiar's UFF and TW Ice Spray Wax on hers). We take the same route and her work is only a few miles closer than mine with outdoor parking as well, but hers was in the elements even longer (I work 8hr shifts while she works 12 hrs). I ran through a few sprinkler puddles on the way home, and it did as you'd expect, making the dust/pollen stick to the sides of the car and making it more noticeable. We should get some rain also this week, so we'll see on that. Maybe I'll even be lucky enough to have a bird poop on my car while it sits and bakes in the parking lot.
With the fresh application of TLC in my garage, I agree with Pan that gloss and slickness is awesome, but we'll see how it holds up to a weeks worth of real world elements when/if I can wash it this weekend.
I really want this stuff to work, as in theory, their soap and spray application is perfect for my needs. If it doesn't hold up to real world testing, I hope their 365 day money back guarantee is legit.
Do you recommend any wash/rinse off products that would make my life easier with this PITA roof rack?
    Update 1:
Well, we didn't get any rain though the forcast said we would. I'm in Houston so the rainy days may be gone. After a week of parking in the sun and driving through spinkler water, I'm surprised. I washed today and during pre-rinse, the water beaded/sheeted right off. I'll continue my evaluation hoping for some rain. Anyhow, I proceeded to wash with The Last Soap, then added another coat of TLC. It doesn't seem to go on as smooth as the first time. Maybe it's just the microfibers I got from them that wear too quickly. I wash them just like all my others in a separate load with tide free and clear, and all the microfiber wash recommendations. We'll see how it holds up. I'll update if results or durability change If you don't get a lot of rain, it may be a good product. Bugs and road grime built up just the same and didn't seem to come off any easier. I do have to say it makes the black plastic trim look good (on a new car).

@@sixsixST2 That's not a nice thing to say. As a channel becomes more and more successful, it's only natural to see such opportunities come by. And I only review products from brands I believe in and personally like using. You can't even start to imagine how many sponsored videos I have turned down because I don't believe in the brand or the product simply doesn't live up to my expectations. And as you see other smaller channels get bigger, they eventually too will start having these opportunities. Will you start hating them at that point too? That is unfair in my opinion. For me, as long as the person stays true to their values, why is it a bad thing if they can also generate revenue to allow them to continue growing their own brand and channel? There's nothing wrong with that, as long as you make it clear. And I do. When I do a sponsored video, I say it. I could do like many other UA-camrs and not say it. Not only would that be unethical, but it would go against UA-cam's rules and regulations. And believe me, I know everytime I see a video that should disclose they're sponsored, yet they're not. So it's unfair that I get knocked on because I actually disclose this. Think of this: when is the last time you actually heard a UA-camr say their video is sponsored in any way shape or form? Hmmmm. Pretty rare hunh. And do you honestly think they all go out there and buy all these products, tools and equipment with their own money all the time? Hmmmm. Probably not.
I know that at the end of the day, I'm blessed with an audience approaching 300,000 subscribers who understand and appreciate all the hard work I put into making my videos and who can appreciate the passion and knowledge I share with them.
      Have a goo day.

You’re one of my favorite product reviewers simply because you’re not one of the typical product ‘reviewers’ paid by the company to promote their product (Pan the Organizer, Esoteric Car Care, etc). You have to balls to say overpriced crap like AMMO is - crap.
Like I said before, I worked on a coatings formulation team for years and almost all products like waxes, sealants, ceramics, you name it, utilize very very similarly chemistries and are so so very overpriced. If most people had any idea that the base chemicals literally cost the manufacturer pennies per pound they wouldn’t pay these insane prices. Most of what’s in a bottle that you’re paying big bucks for literally has less than $1 dollar of materials in it.
One company figures out a decent product and the others instantly reverse engineer it and market it with flashy terms like ‘9H’ ‘wet look’ ‘permanently’ and ‘bonds’ so our monkey brains like it and buy it.

I’ve already reached out to them about this but TLC isn’t compatible with every ceramic coating. I don’t think they ever claimed that it did but I’m sure it was designed to be a topper for coatings with it being SiO2 formulated. I used it on my windshields that has GTechniq G1 and they fought each other. It hazed up really bad and it took a dozen glass cleaning passes to clear it up. Maybe a version 2 might come out and be significantly better

"pro detailers" I know haven't heard of it, and can't match my car for slickness but it's a decade old and there must be better stuff... any evidence based recommendations from yourself or followers? I have this product and I purchased it because of the video from Pan TheOrganizer. My skepticism and dislike is the marketing is over the top and very gimmicky. I actually expressed that to the owners (if that's who I was really chatting with on fb) prior to purchasing. I wouldn't be surprised if they have an infomercial soon on TV. The product is good, but it is overpriced based on the other topper products out there. I also own BeadMaker which is easier to apply and gloss seems to be about the same. I also bought the TLS (car wash soap) which came as a package deal and I do like the product in a foam cannon.

I bought it when it was buy one get one free so it made the price more worthwhile. For me I bought it for the silky smooth feel it leaves, my car is not a daily driver and so I wasn't worried about the longevity of the coat but for me it's doing really well. But I didn't hit it right away with anything so maybe it's more resilient the longer it has time to be on the car? I think it's instant for being able to get up and leave for application purposes but bet there is a cure time for strength? Either way I haven't checked yet but I hope your cheap v expensive is this verses Beadmaker. That's the head to head I would like to see.

My test is still ongoing, but it has been two weeks with rain, and a 300 mile road trip. Now the truck is covered with road grime. Both products show water beads with the exact same size, and the windshield performs exactly the same. I coated 1/2 the truck with TLC and 1/2 with Topcoat Spritz. So far, the two are pretty equal, right down to the size of the water beads. Both products apply identically, are very thin and watery, and streak free with minimal effort.
