About the Pokémon Fusion Strike Set:
Fusion Strike is the eighth main Sword & Shield Series expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and was released on November 12, 2021. In Japan, it was released as Fusion Arts on September 24, 2021 and was the eighth expansion of the Pokémon Card Game Sword & Shield Era. Fusion Strike consists of cards sourced from the Japanese Fusion Arts expansion, the High-Class Decks, the Sword & Shield Family Pokémon Card Game set, cards from Eevee Heroes, Skyscraping Perfection, and Blue Sky Stream that were not localized in Evolving Skies, and several S-P Promotional cards. Each Fusion Strike booster pack contains ten cards from the expansion and a basic Energy card. Fusion Strike booster packs were also the first to include a code card for use with the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live. Each Fusion Arts pack contains five cards.

Fusion strike probably is the most disappointing of packs in a long while. It's like the V-union is the only selling point.

For anyone who even cares why a Genesect V is so expensive, it lets you draw a lot of cards and gets played as a 4-of set in the current meta Mew Vmax deck.
And after a long run of insane luck and blissful ignorance, Max finally learns you aren't guaranteed any ultra rares.

@@dobbie563 Yes, it might just be a thing since the SWSH era and I'm not sure if the same is true for Japanese sets. I remember people reporting that they didn't get a single hit in blue sky stream/towering perfection but that might have been a one off set error.

@@ethan2529 Yeah, I think Vmax's do technically count as ultra rares. But you're basically not guaranteed a full art or better, I'm not sure what word could be used to encompass all full art or better cards. I think you might even be guaranteed 2 Vmax's per box, but they're not as desirable as the rarer cards.

Well first off they changed the way codes look and secondly even old codes said tcgo or redeem spoiling the pack on the code side
Though, I always find it funny when Max's tries so hard to not show the code card color on older packs (now, with new sets, the color doesn't matter from what I know) and screws it up and freaks out. I don't know, maybe I just have a small brain and am easily entertained.
Literally just grabbed 8 fusion strike packs and pulled one holo. One single holo out of 8 packs.
Pull rates are atrocious for this set. I finally got lucky and pulled the Gold Power Tablet and Vmax Gengar (not Alt) after like 20 packs
My booster box I only pulled 7 holos. RIP
That's insane, I've opened probably 25 packs of them and gotten half as V or Vmax or full art

Sorry Max, ever since QC took a nosedive with the mass production of product to meet the increase in demand, booster boxes now have a track record of coming with no guarantees whatsoever; there are dozens of accounts of people pulling 0 secret rares, pulling just regular Vs, or even pulling nothing at all in an entire box. Sucks that things are this way now, hopefully one day they'll get it under control again but it doesn't seem likely considering it doesn't affect TPC's profits ): JP boxes are a much safer bet now, better luck next time!

so far celebrations and evolving skies are the best that retail stores still sell. avoid fusions, battle styles and maybe chilling reign
The English boxes are definitely scuffed right now. I opened an evolving Skies last week with only 5 hits (3 regular Vs, a vmax and one full art) and even all the packs had green code cards only. Quality control be damned.
Saw a guy on the pokemontcg reddit that opened a whole box of fusion strike and only got 1 holo 😭
for real. ive opened (i cant count how many) evolving skies packs and the only vmax/v cards ive pulled are duraladon....more than likely its bc eeveelutions are rlly popular so it gets people to buy more :/

Pity it's so damn expensive to ship cards over and since JP is so in-demand globally it's even harder to get than ever. I don't understand why EN don't just exactly mimic JP sets and rates when it works so well.
Don't get me started, feel like every English set is just scuffed right now. Misprints, cards damaged fresh out of the packs, more then one energy (got 5 in one pack once) cards from other sets, terrible seeding for booster boxes.
The QC is insane for English and I have no clue why they haven't sorted this out as it's been a big problem for so long now, and every time they "fix" it, it's either not actually fixed or the problems just come back with the next new set that's released
Bought 2 booster boxes last week. I let my nephew open a pack and he said " I want to open the one with a dog on it." I let him open it and bam secret rare energy. I think I'm going to let him open packs from now on.
I found out when I was really little that usually if I choose a pack to be my "lucky pack" based on the art or where it was in a box it almost always causes it to manifest a "lucky" card, even if it's just a Pokémon I really love and not necessarily valuable to anyone but me. I always open these packs last if I have multiple in hand to open
I think they've removed guaranteed secret rares since Evolving Skies, in my experience anyways. I've opened 3 Evolving Skies booster boxes and 1 had a secret rare. I also have opened 2 boxes of Fusion Strike and got only one secret rare, but I did get some Alt arts.

Out of all the incredibly memorable, nostalgic, and all around badass Pokemon they could be putting into these sets somehow they seemingly continue to rotate thru the same batch instead. Would love to see more pokemon from first 3 generations... heck even throw in some gen4 and 5 if you like. Just enough with the same boring forgettable batch of pokemon every set!!! Please!!!

The seeding for this set is so inconsistent. My boyfriend and I both got booster boxes, he pulled a single rainbow trainer (Sydney) and I pulled rainbow Dancer, full art schoolgirl, secret power tablet, and the alt art Celebi.

I went to a standard event and there were so many mew decks, I got 1st because I ran Gengar and Umbreon XD
10/10 max has a pack hiding somewhere on that desk with the full art or higher hit in it. But fr this set blows for pulls I bought x4 fusion strike etbs and got only 2 vmax and 4 v's. No full art or higher rarities
Multiple people have said that there is no longer guarantees in the last couple of sets including thus one. This seems to be an intentional move not an accident

My Second Booster Box Had a error Pack With 2 Mew Full Arts. This set feels massively rushed to English IMO. Quite the cluster.

My first pack I opened I got a rainbow rare chandeleur VMAX. Was a pretty fun introduction to the set. I then bought a single blister pack and got the alt art Genesect V. I really love this set lol.
Just a criticism of Fusion Strike : I'm not a fan of jamming a ton of filler into an English set. I get trying to catch up with Japanese cards, but this isn't the best way of going about it. I like the pack artwork though, and Akira Egawa's illustrations are still amazing.
Damn, 30 five card packs in JP guarantees you a full art, but 36 ten card packs gets you nothing in English.
English is also twice as expensive, more than twice as shit though
@@ch4se Not quite, its 1.50 USD per 5 card JP pack, versus $4 USD for a 10 card English pack. 33% more expensive for significantly worse rates.

Bought one of those battle boxes with the special promos (first few packs of the set) and pulled the secret rare grass energy! Pretty good stuff so far from this set
Opened a few packs last week, first ones I have bought in a long while. First pack I opened had the alt art Gengar, so that was pretty fuckin sweet!

Hey guys, did you know that in terms of male human and female Pokémon breeding, Vaporeon is the most compatible Pokémon for humans? Not only are they in the field egg group, which is mostly comprised of mammals, Vaporeon are an average of 3”03’ tall and 63.9 pounds, this means they’re large enough to be able handle human dicks, and with their impressive Base Stats for HP and access to Acid Armor, you can be rough with one. Due to their mostly water based biology, there’s no doubt in my mind that an aroused Vaporeon would be incredibly wet, so wet that you could easily have sex with one for hours without getting sore. They can also learn the moves Attract, Baby-Doll Eyes, Captivate, Charm, and Tail Whip, along with not having fur to hide nipples, so it’d be incredibly easy for one to get you in the mood. With their abilities Water Absorb and Hydration, they can easily recover from fatigue with enough water. No other Pokémon comes close to this level of compatibility. Also, fun fact, if you pull out enough, you can make your Vaporeon turn white. Vaporeon is literally built for human dick. Ungodly defense stat+high HP pool+Acid Armor means it can take cock all day, all shapes and sizes and still come for more

This set has been incredibly inconsistent with its drop rates.
I've managed to pack Gengar Alt, Espeon Alt, Genesect Alt, Rainbow Mew, Rainbow Boltund, Sidney Full, Shauna Full but I have basically no regular VMAXs
Im kind of the same but with Evolving skies
I was able to pull:
Glaceon Vmax alt art out of Single pack
Duraladon V alt art out of Single pack
Slyveon V alt art out of elite trainer box
Don’t feel bad I just opened a celebration ultra premium box and the only good card I got was a rainbow Klara from one of the chilling rain packs. The 17 celebrations packs were all duds and I paid $600 for the box.

That's very lucky, I've opened 4 ETB's for this set and got basically nothing.
I've had really good luck with the triple blister packs though, pulled a bunch of Alt and Rainbow cards from them.

Now that it's been a few years and we've all gotten used to it, I'd like to bring your attention back to the fact that they called them V CARDS???
Budew, Roselia and Roserade have an odor so strong they can knock people out. Also the Chikorita, Bayleaf and Meganium all have distinct odors that help their trainers and are used as aromatherapy.

I got only one pack from my local store due to late-month broke hours, got a Voltund V, I just started collecting(opened 5 evolving skies too), so I've no idea how good that is, statistically.
A V from a single pack isn't anything crazy, but the card's value itself basically pays for the pack so not too shabby my friend

I opened a booster box. Pulls were elesa's sparkle trainer, gengar vmax both regular and alt art, 2 mew V one of which was full art, a chandelure vmax and that's about it. Pretty decent
