You've done a lot of work on your Bible, a lot of reading and studying. Your Bible shows that you have a relationship with the word of the Lord. It doesn't just sit there and collect dust. I love reading my Bible and marking areas writing notes here and there. I write my favorite old time gospel songs. I write down special dreams that I've had that the Lord has given me. My Bible is basically my personal journal of my life and how blessed my life has been with the Lord in it.
I don't know you, but I am very proud of you! Keep your relationship with God, Jesus Christ is our best friend, mentor, father, and counselor. You can't go wrong, with the Lord on your side!

I wish UA-cam had had videos like this when I was 15 or 16 back in 2010/2011. I was going to church BUT I was not reading my bible,I was not praying, I wasn't growing in Christ like I am now. It took me awhile to really understand that Gods ways and standards are better than this worlds. I was far too immersed in secular ...everything eventually leading me to relationships with atheists and making poor choices. I'm so happy that God told me to wake up and follow him. I still struggle sometimes but the difference is I know now that he loves me and that he is bigger than anything I face. I Love him even on my worst days and on my best.
That’s an amazing testimony! I’m so happy that you shared that with me! God has always been with you and He knew your timeline was perfect, even at 15 or 16! Don’t wish things could’ve turned out differently, just look ahead and live with the hope of Jesus! That’s all we can do! And pray that the teens of this generation see the message of the Gospel and respond to it in an amazing way🥰 so happy to have met you🥹
That bible shows you were really paying attention to what you were reading or being taught. Pray it all stays in your heart and mind...the truth of God. I had given mine away to a new believer. Partly because since getting older the print was too small for me to read.....I miss it.
It’s taken a long time to get to where it is, that’s for sure! That was such a beautiful gift, I’m sure! I want to give mine to my children, so I’ll hang onto it until they show up 😄
I love this. For me, it isn't about what your Bible looks like. It's about the treasures of notes and personal insights and prayers. My Bible is building up these treasires as well. I would be so honoured if someone left me a well-loved and marked-up Bible. I've also put some thought into where my Bibles go after I'm "done". A filled Bible is such a treasure chest one can learn so much from.

I need to add: My handwriting is very neat and my study notes in any academic subject were seriously neat. It's kind of an obsession. I would tear up an entire page and start again for one small mistake. But my Bible is a bit of a mess. And I have had to keep reminding myself that it's okay. Your Bible is a mess. A beautiful mess. I love how it's not perfectly neat (and I really like your handwriting). It's an encouragement to someone like me who has this unreasonable obsession with having the perfect page all the time.❤
@@charmainemeintjes6685 that’s a problem I have/had as well! It’s definitely a heart issue that God has corrected over time, and I’ve been brought to a place of “reckless” abandon of the desire to be neat. When I can’t write all that I’m learning fast enough, messes happen, but it is ok!

I am in my mid 50's. Can you just imagine the Bibles Kendall will have to look back upon at that age?! When I was her age, you DID NOT mark up a Bible!! (at least in the view of MY elders)....so my notes were just my favorite verses week by week taped onto my mirror or bedroom wall as inspiration to contemplate. Diaries and journals were feared to be found by brothers/family....so I just didn't bother. I wish I had kept a prayer journal...and a Bible journal. I just inherited my great-great grandmother's Bible....not one speck of her insight in there. Keep it up Kendall! You are building a true treasure!

Kendall!!! Keep this up! It is the stories that really make a channel. While I love to see what others do to take notes in their Bible, you really RARELY hear their stories from the HEART. Those are the true inspiration!!! Please, keep sharing your "normal" life struggles and celebrations and accomplishments...it gives Praise.....this is the true manna so many of us are longing to see and hear!! I loved hearing that your heart wasn't into it (going to the funeral)....and that you were afraid your Mom would be MAD that you were saved, because you thought she expected you already were. This type of content is TREASURE for older women to hear, and understand your age... and for others your age...to hear and see they are having the same struggles. Excellent content right here!! All I said was true, granted my 14 year old brain probably exaggerated my feelings and thoughts, but God found me in the midst of all my hormones and drama and bad teen attitudes! I don't even know you but I am so proud of you. That Bible speaks volumes about how much you love Heavenly Father and Jesus! Look at the time that you've invested! I didn't know my Father until I was 30 years old. He died about 6 years after I found him and I only had about 1 year that I was near him, geographically so that I could really know him. One of my favorite things to do is look through his bibles and see the notes he wrote.

I love your story! I had a reverse experience. I was taken out of private school and put in public because we couldn't afford it. I lost God along the way. Now I'm in my 30s and I'm growing with him every day. Your video gave my goose bumps. April 17th is my birthday.

Thank you so much!! I am currently working my way through this Bible! So when I read, I don’t use this Bible to reflect on. I either use the Bible I take to church or I use the Bible app on my phone!! Hope this helps 🥰

Just curious, do you have a Bible that’s not marked up? This is aesthetically very cool, but it’s so marked up I don’t see how you can read the text.
@@radiogirl85 hi! Yes I have a Bible I carry around for everyday things like my Bible study group, church, and retreats I go on. I don’t take this Bible out anywhere, it’s just too big! Ive been reading through the Bible since 2021 in THIS Bible, so I will retire it when I finish the Bible! I’m in the gospels now, so hopefully I will be done soon! This is a great question, thank you for asking!

Do you do a lot of tip ins and sticky notes in your Bible do you use a color code system
Lotssss of added pages and sticky notes!! I don’t use a color system though, I don’t like to be held down 😜😂

@@kendallsnotes1 No, not silly. I was actually looking at what you had done and thinking I'd like to do that with my first Bible, that is truly falling to pieces. You should see our family Bible. It arrived here (New Zealand) on a sailing ship with my Gt gt grandparents, but dates back before 1830, Devon England. It's HUGE, about 5" thick and 15" x 20" approx, weights a ton, has wood engraving prints in it of Moses holding the 10 commandments, the ark and so on, as well as the extra books in the middle. It's a John Brown of Haddington Bible with commentary and is what they would call a pulpit Bible these days. My Grandfather was book binder and he has rebound it, but the next inheritor, an uncle, used it to rest paint tins on (the housepaint, dripping kind), so it needs redoing again, and it'll cost a fortune. I guess I should get it done next year when I'm "financial" again! LOL.
