This is the video I would recommend on this topic. Watched several on this topic. This is the clearest, most professional one I've found so far. I now have the info I need to go do the job we need to be done. Thanks for taking the time to make this.
I loved that the adjustments are labeled with a letter I did the same thing 😆. It helps because you don't want to willy nilly adjust these. Found that out the hard way.
Im at a airport.....had to learn this so that 3rd shift (me) can catch som zzzzs because 1st shift comes thru a door next to my office and that door just starts slamin....thanks.....
NEVER make more than one adjustment at a time. On most closers, latch speed is a function (derivative) of sweep speed. By adjusting both, you MAY be un-doing the benefits of one or the other.
I would recommend this video , i watched many videos for door closer adjusting. this is the best one ,
thorough and clear. Thank you .

FAIL. your leaving to 'go do the job' means you are missing out on more professional videos on the same subject, that you have not viewed yet.
Awesome. Thanks for the video. Just fixed a door that apparently was "broken" for a few weeks. It just needed to be adjusted.

Clear and to the point. Thanks!

Great vid
How do you keep the door open or adjust that setting with the closer?
are you supposed to read the top of the gasket or under it where the spring loaded part is touching?
🐐 Video
Saved me a lot of grief. Thank you!
Thank you, very helpful
Thank you!
Who knew there was so much to closer
Repurposed door. It started life as a RH swing on conventional hinges, and is now a LH door on a through-bolted continuous hinge.

Will Schmit they are two separate adjustments. One does not affect the other greatly.
