I had both in my hands. The SKMEI is a bit bulkier than the Casio. I found them to be quite different. If you like it slim and small go with the Casio, but for the same reason to others the SKMEI might be more appealing.
Thanks for this review. My Skmei 1220 finally arrived today (43 days, including 12 within the British postal system). I had already bought a blue silicone strap, and while the watch was still in transit, I tried it on my old Tissot (also 20mm fit) and found immediately that I prefer silicone to metal, even when it's top quality. So I ordered another silicone strap in Black for the Tissot. And because of the sunburst effect of the Skmei 1220, the shade of blue on the strap didn't have to be exactly right - mine's a little darker than yours but it's in range! Now let's hope that it lasts.
@@NMwatch I've tested this: the analog and digital times act together, the same movement drives both readouts. I know you can set different times, but the analog minute hand advances ⅓ minute whenever the seconds on the digital readout reach 00, 20 or 40. So if you get them the same, they stay the same. If there is some drift, they drift together. If, over time, the watch gains, for example, 10 seconds, all you have to do is to press and hold the “Reset” button in Time mode, until the seconds readout starts to flash. When it gets to 10, press “Mode” and it will be returned to zero. The minutes hand will not advance until the seconds readout reaches 20. You have now put back both Analogue and Digital readouts by 10 seconds. Useful to know. Better than having to advance the watch nearly 12 hours for a small forward drift.
I'm glad I found your video. I've been considering buying the Casio AQ blah, blah, blah, but it seems pretty clear the Skmei is a better value. Just need to decide on an after-market bracelet that won't add too much weight. One of the criticisms I've read of this watch is that it's too heavy. But that's the trade off if you don't want a plastic watch.
I think even when I put it on a metal bracelet, the total weight is still ok. Just don't go for oyster style bracelet. Jubilee style is much lighter. Sorry for the late reply and thanks for watching
Great watch for the price! Good choice putting it on a strap too. I do love a good bracelet, but it should really taper on a dressier watch of that style. A tapered brown leather strap would look good with the blue dial. Keep up the great content!
Elegant, inexpensive and accurate. I love my stainless 1220. I tightened the metal strap so that it fits snugly and this compensates for the weight as the watch does not shift around. A couple people have complemented me on the appearance of the strap.
I bought this watch today. I have notice that there is a little icon text "DL" displayed in one of the two digital times. Whats the meaning of this? And secondly, is there a way to keep the analog movement rests while its not in use, like we do in the watch having a crown? I usually pull out the crown of my watches when not in use for a long time to extend their battery life.
Hey man. DL stands for dual time. You can set this for a second time zone. And you can also set the analogue hands to track a 3rd time zone. As for 'hacking' the analogue hands, I don't think it can be done. I've tried. Anyways, thanks for watching!

@@remruatafanai4171 well basically, for the digital display, you have 2 options. You can set the 1st time zone (your home time) at the 1st mode. You then can set the 2nd time zone at the DL mode. And you can set the 3rd time zone by pushing the analogue hands independently. I hope this helps
I'm not sure about it's durability. And the glass is the same as Casio, a non scratch proof plastic. But it is really cheap. So if it is broken, I'd just get a new one. Thanks for watching 👍

All that measuring and talking and ya left out the most important measurement, the inside to inside lug to lug measurement where the band mounts.......Ali website says both 22 and 23 so was hoping to find out which.
Just got mine a couple days ago and I love it. I have an 8.6" wrist so the factory band is never long enough on any watch I buy, but I put this on a nice blue NATO band and it still looks great to me, I could only find it for $12 but its still a great value considering what a nice looking watch it is with a brass case and great looking dial.
Not yet. I bought it from Indian online retailer whose customer care is worse. I rather decided to bring it to the local shop. Even if there is no authentic part, I hope they have other interchangeable parts.
