Super cool. That's why I like seeing the manufacturers racing snocross, cross country, and hillclimb. The innovation that comes from racing trickles down eventually to make the consumer sleds better.
That is some unbelievable engineering! Always looking forward to new cutting edge tecnology. Our consumer sleds have benefited vastly because of these snocross designs. Some of it filters down to the consumer sleds. Awesome video!
Well have to wait and see, but the new Ski-Doo Pilot RS front suspension is a perfect example of a race inspired design that made its way to consumer sleds.
@@snowtraxgonna go with no. I don't see those spindles stock on any trail offerings. Mind you in the video it's stated as a one off on all main things you thought were cool. One offs are the farthest thing from consumer sleds.
Holes under the seat also double as handles for mid air superman tricks, all the brand loyal haters out there are jealous cause they couldn't hang on to that lightning bolt anyway!
@snowtrax Any possibility it will run the infamous 2025 Alaska Iron Dog race from Big Lake to Nome? That would be great marketing for durability, and an impressive feat just to finish!
couple things. there are not 500 skidoo RS race sleds built in north america. second, that certainly looks like a gas tank and not an airbox, i could be wrong, but the gap between the motor and the tank? cool sled, but again it shows why sno X is dead. nothing cool on that sled will make it ways to trail machines.
We'll look all that and get back to 'ya. ...and you never know, the rCTRL rear suspension has a lot of merit and could one day find its way into a next generation ditch banger.
I am waiting for the day that Lynx makes their ergo's similar to Polaris (the new standard in my opinion). This race sled is closer it looks, as the seat seems a bit higher.
@@kwmiked it looks to coupled in the rear. It doesn't have an adjustment to stop that slide in the rail. Cool design, but basically a big jump skid only. Without some add ons, this won't work for cross country. Basically they took out a lot of pieces of a rear torque arm, made it one to achieve the same thing. I don't know if you can call it a progressive skid without any link to the front torque arm.
This is actually not uncoupled. But Lynx has PPS3 that is uncoupled. Lynx has used similar setup since early 90's, so they have a clue how to do uncoupled suspension these days :D

@@mikeh4053Are you serious or joking? Dating back to the ‘90’s there’s dozens of examples of race sled tech that’s trickled down to consumer sleds….

@@pajamatime5750yeah in the 90s, you are correct. It is 2024 going on 25. Works backwards now. I.e. etec on consumer first now on snow x.
Hopefully, some of that tech will be on future sleds.👍
That is a wild machine! Seen a lot of photos the last few days. I appreciate the walk around 🤘
Thanks for the video!
Would love a trail sled like that!
No u wouldn’t maybe one that looks like SX sled. SX sleds suck on trails made for one ting SX racing that’s it.
@@joshgessinger4509 agreed. Want the look of the sled with an MXZ XRS ride and handling.
Looks wild! It will be interesting to see how much of this technology will find its way into commercial sleds.
Looks amazing. As I scrolled my feed and this appeared my brain registered it as an EV sled before I got a chance to actually read the title 😂.
Looks cool that for sure
Absolutely stunning!!
Id buy one !
One piece hood is brilliant, would have been nice to see it open.
Thx For Sharing
Thx for Watching!
Yeah that’s badass!!
This thing looks like the Redline sled from the early 2000’s. I can’t believe no one has mentioned that.
Neat to see. 👍
What a ditch banger
I like!
Best in the world
I bet this race sled has a healthy price tag
I want a Forumla snow series, all prototypes, yes please.
How long of extension cord do you need for a quarter mile track
I think you answered your own question. Lol

Maybe I wasn't paying attention.... the hole in the side is for shoving snow in to cool what on an electric snowmobile with no heat exchanger?
Electric? That has 600 race engine...
Are they ever going to come out with a new ds450r Sport quad
Who, Lynx? 😂
That's what I'm talking about
is that the first sled to have a badunkadunk?

The hole is only on one side
Like to see it in action.
What does 600RS mean? Racing Sled?
I'm familiar with the 600R, I have one.
PS: good to see a vid thats not promoting QC.
Yes, RS implies Race Sled. Merci Beacoup for watching.

Yep, have won a bunch of championships in the FIM World Snowcross Series. Most recent was the 2024 championship.

I would say the airbox is infront of the gap pulling air through the gap instead of the top of the hood.
