- Got lucky and the rain held off for the duration of the pull. Cloud cover kept it cool so that worked out good. All in all not to bad other than the typical tractor pull grievances.
Some of the best vid content ive had the pleasure of watching in a long time . Congrats to Shelly she did a wonderful job with that tractor and your right i think when that front end came up she got spooked i dont blame her lol
Fear will pass with experience. Happens to everyone
Love ur videos thank u so much go Oliver
Great stuff Ethan and Shelly, y’all represented Oliver well, enjoyed that footage thoroughly, y’all are a great young couple with some old souls. More of today’s youth could learn from y’all…way 2 go youngsters, proud of y’all🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Well Husker, you stated almost verbatim what I intended to say!
@@sawsurgeon ahh ha sawsurgeon, great minds think alike🇺🇸👍🏻🇺🇸
I grew up with an 1800. Felt like a king on it :)
Gotta get Shelly used to those wheelies! You guys did good.
Great job guys! It's funny you mention the waves in the track. Around the 50 minute mark in the video, you can see an AC on the track. In two places you can watch black smoke pour out of the AC stack- I bet those are two of the big waves in the track you are talking about. Enjoyed the video.
That’s the spot.
Hey dude,,too cool Shelley pulled!! Im involved with a 4X4 modified pulling truck. Its an addiction.
That old 1800 looks so cool with duals. And wow it did good. I think it was the driver. Good job Shelly. Looked like u had a good pull to Eathan. Fun to watch
Thanks
Good job you too. You’ve got a good kind heart Ethan. Proud of you and Shelly you make a great pair. Keep up the good work and the best videos on you tube. I pull my OliverSuper99GM and Oliver 1900 and 880 here in Texas. Very hard to beat Oliver tractors.
Those would be fun to pull.
Shelly did an awesome job at her first tractor pull with the 1800. Thanks Michael
Yep
Very fun watching your pulling video. Neat how excited you were for Shelly and 1800 as you should be .Great video . Thanks for all that you do to keep the Oliver name out there. Jeff.
Thanks.
Good job Shelly for your first time out. I've noted over the years that skilled pullers become a part of their tractors...having the feel for how to handle it. Agree wholeheartedly on juiced up tractors in out of field stock classes. Not a fair competition. Can't say I feel sorry for them when something blows...becomes an expensive hobby!!!
It’s not a good pull unless somebody scatters a paycheck or two all over the track.
You should told her it would be Wheeling lolthanks good job thanks BigAl California
Looks like great fun!! Glad to see the little kids also. You both looked like you enjoyed the day. Thanks for taking us along Ethan. Take care. Fred.
It was a nice day off.
That was a great job for your lady😊 👍another great video! Non farming but farmers life!!thanks for taking us along🍺
Thanks.
Really enjoyed your video!!
Thanks
Good job to both of you. Thanks for taking the time to video and edit it. I did enjoy it .
Thanks.
Looks like it was a fun day and watching Shelly and the 1800 was great!
Thanks
ricky bobby would say , if your not first , your last ! good job Ethan, a lot of work just getting ready for the pull .
Whole day of work for 2 minutes of fun.
Nice job Shelly I think that was a pretty good first pull, better than mine was lol. Cool video Ethan good narration and footage.
She did really good for how little experience she has in general.
You both did a very good job Shelley looked like a pro up there😂😂😂😂
Great to see the old Oliver s pull Wish we could see more
You both made this old Oliver owner proud 😊😊 Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks.
That was awesome. You guys did a great job. Not bad for being her first pull. Shelly will get it figured out as you said, with more seat time. I had to chuckle when she popped the clutch at the start, lol. I'm just really proud of her for getting out there to try. I'm not used to watching pulls with the duals on.. 99 percent of the pulls I'm able to go to don't have 4 wheel drive tractors. Thanks for sharing.
You can run duals in all the farm stock classes I’ve ever pulled in. It’s usually the antique classes that prohibit them around here.
Your wife did a good job!! Here in northeastern Ohio Dauls are not allowed!!!
It was great fun watching you to pulling congratulations Shelly super job
Thanks
Shelly did good can’t wait till to pull my Chevy k10 at the truck pulls at the local fair in a couple weeks
My local pull is full of those hopped up 4010s you speak of. Thankfully the guys aren’t allowed to add aftermarket turbos to them. Although it does prohibit the M&W Turbo 4020 I farm with from going. Guys get the 4010s light enough to pull in the 7,500. Then they run them up to the 9,500 and then sometimes in the 11,500 non turbo. Thing that sucks about mine is for every one of the 5 weight classes (7,500-15,500) they run they run a 4mph non turbo, 6mph, and 8mph. Takes forever. Lot of guys run pressed steel wheels and little front tires on narrow fronts. Not really farm stock at all if you ask me. Don’t think I’d ever be able to take our bone stock non turbo powershift 4020 and be competitive. That T always looks so good dualed up. You, Shelly, and the tractors did a good job.
Turbos don’t bother me as long as they are a practical size for the tractor. It’s when guys start running these big turbos and bigger pumps and injectors and start skirting that 3k rpm mark that starts making you question how they are allowed in a farm stock class.
I’m glad Shelly did awesome and i see hear how proud you are of her and you should be, the first pull is always the nerve wracking she’ll get better and then be going to all the pulls LOL Congratulations to both
Just takes practice
Great video! It was fun to watch bud.Congrats to shelly!
Thanks
Both of you did great Shelly did excellent
Shelly did very well for her first pull.
Can you interview Shelly she how she feels about pulling please she did great
You both did pretty good. The ole T sounded healthy. The 1800 and Shelly did do good. Very impressive. I agree, take the 1800 to some more pulls next year and get Shelly some more seat time. Enjoyed the video very much.
I didn’t realize how much it smoked until I saw the video from off the tractor.
Good job Shelly and Ethan both had a good time and fun doing it
Thanks
Dammit, i wish i could have went! Good job!
Wow nice toys here I use a 1944 LA case. buddy be safe out there your buddy from Nebraska
Good pulling tractors.
on the1950T if it was me. I would go with wheel weights on the singles or weighted duals if they allow that, and as much weight on the front as you can fit. If you can get away with adjusting the drawbar go for it anything to give you an edge. You and Shelly did an awesome job. Both tractors were a beast when it comes to pulling. Whatever you decide to do, seriously looking forward to next year.
Very good pulls!!
Thanks.
Thanks for making this video Ethan I always love to see old iron pull and I’m not a creep just to clarify I was merely making a joke have a good day
So i farm up here in scotts mi. About a hour and a half or so from you. I would love to come down and wax one of your tractors for you if you have wanted. Them old metal hoods shine up so nice and i have never got to wax a oliver. It would be pretty cool to shake your hand as well
And on the 1800, put on a weight bracket about one foot from the grill, then bolt it on in those two holes on the frame, make that 4 ft and it should give you the best weight distribution and it would probably hold the front end down for her
Great job putting the video together.
Thanks.
Good job, first pull, Shelley!
Thanks.
I recall a guy campaigning a 2250 or 2255 about twenty years ago who pretty much matched your description of a fellow puller.
Although his big Oliver was a beauty, it made me smile to see a well worn 1066 put him down.
I’m with you, I love to see what a guy can derive out of them with some tweaking, but they hadn’t ought to knock a true farm stock down in the placing.
It’s always fun to watch the tweakers get beat by stock tractors.
Shelly did great! Your Olivers did really well and yes, that track just sucked. Thank you for taking us along!
Thanks.
Impressive on the 1800!!
Yep
Good job guys
Thanks.
Shelly sure did a fine job. Ill bet she's gonns like that 1800.
She had fun.
Good job Shelly to bad front end came up it wouldn't have went over but great job😊❤
She will get the hang of it.
Ethan and Shelly you did a great job glad to see Shelly pulling she did good she got a little scared that's fine that's normal you guys representative Oliver very well keep up the good work I love to seeing the pool from down there and I will be pulling myself my buddies want meatball his tractor and 15,000 lb class we're pulling from 11,000 up to 15,000 yeah your bear needs to let you pull more than one class
I’ve got video of the 1800 A who pulled just ahead of you guys. Congrats on the results.
Thanks
Good job Shelly you did good for the first time
Thanks.
You may have the next Sherry Schaffer ❤
Both tractors looked real good pulling, the T especially. I'd get that on a big picture and hang it on my wall. They should definitely open up the classes and drivers, I wonder if it's a time thing.
For as long as I can remember they have always bitched about getting the day pull over so they can rework the track for the ntpa pull at night. They have the sled Sunday and Monday. They could easily do 2 days of pulling.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy That makes sense to me. The people that run these things usually aren't the brightest I've found.
Y’all done good I wonder how the 1600 who’d do on it next year and tractor pulling is mor like skidding logs up out of the woods that’s what it reminds me of at least
Thank you. 👏👏👏👍( N.G)
I liked back when the antique class was a ratio pull, 1st gear, went off percent of own weight pulled, i took second one year, (around 2006) third another with the 1954 Friday with loaded rears.
The percentage pull was the best. My 66 was usually good for first or second when they still used to do it that way.
Despite the fact she clutched it early, ya both done good. She done real good... Need to get her on a seat more often, let her get a feel for the machine a little better next time. Front end comin up will unnerve ya the first time lol just playin with the throttle to manage it is an art. Lol
There’s one more pull before fall I might try to take her to if there’s time.
Great to see the old girls pulling
Thanks
Shelly and the 18 did a great job for their first time
Yep
The "Well, ya don't gotta to be a dick about it... " comment at 48:04. LOL
I miss the old days in the 90's at the county fair farm stock was farm stock. They had a Dino on the end of the track and they thought u were a little to hot u got to hook on the Dino. U could ten horse over for the stock setting on the tractor. If u were over u were disqualified. Kept that class honest back then
They used to do that at our fair long before I was around.
I pulled my 1456 for the 1st time at a fun pull a couple weeks ago. I'd love to do it more.
It’s addicting
It reminds me when I showed my sister how to pull tractors.
It’s a good hobby to share.
Shelly did a good job
Hope to see ya at rantoul
I’ll be there.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy good deal got some Oliver memorabilia for ya
👏👏👏👏
I think you did great both of ya . I believe your right on the T needs more weight on the nose and yes shorten the drawbar for her first pull 1800 surprised ya could here it in your voice. I pull are 2150 and yes I have tractors in my class that shouldn't be , but I beat them I start in third direct and down shift about 2000 rpms my speed is around 5.6 mph but the 21 is heavy to start with my advantage plus iam a big guy around 375 n 6,4 portable weight lol . From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
The 2150 that pulled up here was a little disappointing. Guess he was way light for the class which didn’t help.
Hey Ethan you guys seem to like tractor pulling I think you should take one of your tractors and make it a dedicated puller
Waste of a tractor.
How many ponys is the 1950T putting out?
No idea.
Does your Oliver's have fluid in the tires
No
Who's rule book or whe does one find the rule book for there pull?
Good times
And towards the end he was getting emotional and proud. Such a great person.
She did good
Sat in the front row and watched you both. She could have went a little farther. But I think the front coming up started to scare her.
She will get better with time.
That old 560 sounded like it had a turbo
It does. Among other things.
Would the silver bullet do good at tractor pulling?
Probably not.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy got ya just curious. Loved the pulling videos thanks as always for putting the time in for us to enjoy. Looking forward to Rantol.
I was just going to say. Weight the nose and pull in the 15. I bet it would pull well weighted
I would like to see how it would do.
The 1800 didn't even spin, so she was still going down the track she probably would have picked up at least 5 ft place, so yeah, she was doing well being her first time 👍👍👍
All she needed was 2 more feet to jump up another position. I think she would have been good for it.
What’s the 4-150 weigh?
No idea.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy just figured it would be cool to pull it sometime
26:36 that ain’t farm stock I didn’t think you could have pressed steel wheels in farm stock or cut tires
Tell Joey the trick isn't back and forth it's up and down side to side around here
He took first place in all 3 of his classes and did the same thing the last 3 years so I’m not telling him anything.
Shelly needs more seat time out in the field.
Yep
So... all that talkin' , but; where'd you finish?
You didn’t pay any attention did you?
Stock 560😂
Traction didn't seem good for early tractors
I'm guessing there's a lot of Allis stuff out there? I don't think I've seen so many at one pull. Same for Oliver. I'm east coast so anything besides IH and JD is a rarity, which is ok but gets boring.
Everything is here.
WHY DOES ANYONE PULL IN TO HIGH A GEAR. EVER. Wake up. Shift down dig holes.
