    Chief Darryl Gates was not pleased with the video. A personnel investigations was conducted culminating with a ten-day suspension for one of the LASD deputies. I had a great time fishing in the Eastern Sierras!

    The sergeant did check our ID cards, but then he started to wonder if the cards were fake too. Once they allowed me to use my radio, an LASD watch commander arrived in a black & white. They were still concerned he was an imposter...

    This is a great video and I had acopy when it first came out and I played it at roll call. Most officers thought it was great but a few were offended. I still think it is one of the greatest LASD\LAPD videos ever done. Code 7. I remeber coming out of the academy and being assigned to a training officer that had more time on the job than I had been alive. We kept requesting Code 7 and were told to "continue partol and handle the following call". My traying officer told me "A good policeman is never cold, wet or hungry". " We handled all our radio calls, we ate and we got off at EOW. I passed this on when I became a training officer.

    What were the first two codes?

    • @tomadt02
      @tomadt02 8 років тому +1

      +plzhelpj : CVC 4000a1vc is more or less a 'fixit' ticket for motor vehicles. CPC 487.3 is grand theft. Code 7??? Is lunch...lol
      I remember when this video was made, as I also know the deputies who MADE the video. Brings back memories everytime I watch it. :)

      4000a-VC is an expired vehicle registration violation. 20 years ago when I retired, it was a fix it ticket. No fines. 487.3 PC is Grand Theft Auto .
