Rob Cross played superbly other than his doubles, which had been so imperious all tournament. But he also lost superbly. He was so gracious in defeat, so supportive of Luke and admiring of his incredible play. It's one of the things I like about darts and Rob did the sport proud today.
Rob was on a 17 win streak as well, this boy can play👏
@@scorchio70 Absolutely, 4 ton plus averages, 106 in the semi final after your opponent came out blazing - he can play all right!
Maybe he sees himself from him. He won the PDC World Title on his first try.
Rob Cross always seems to be a genuinely nice bloke. Never heard him say a bad word about anyone.
@@scorchio70 Cross was on 4 game win streak after he lost to Woodhouse in the players championships on 25 Nov 23. Littler is on a 15 game win streak and Humphries is on a 18 game win streak.
I wasn't convinced at first, but seeing him continuously with a high doubles percentage and taking these big checkouts consistently, he really is the real deal.
The fact he started so shaky, and found a way to get into the rhythm was incredible to watch
Broski looks 30 tho

@@GodBless416🤣🤣
Yup. Not bad for someone who's had 30 years to perfect his craft.
For the second time in two years, we have players sharing the same first name in the finals. Luke may miss and Luke may hit, come on now!!!
Very good ❤
Luke is going to win for sure!
@@barath4545 If that happens, I can't spake 🤣
What time EST is the match tomorrow? I want to buy a pass to watch it in Canada.
I CANT SPAKE
What a sporty move from Cross at the end of the game and the respect from Littler. This is Sport and the way of champions from both!!!!
This guy is 16?!!? He looks like close to 40 :-O
Crazy!
And he is together with a 21 year old. If he is 16 that’s just weird and concerning.
little do you know that the bald guy is only 12
Sugar is the enemy

The best final we could have hoped for. Luke Littler who has been crushing everyone against Luke Humphries the best player in the world who has played his way into form at this tournament. Good luck to Luke (s) tomorrow. I hope for a cracking final, it has the potential to be one of the best ever.
*_"it has the potential to be one of the best ever"_*
Yeah, if you like to watch one-sided matches for years to come like we had with Taylor.... boring for anyone but English fans.
It won't be one sided at all, maximum distance will be 7-5.
Littler is at least 30 years old.
It would be the craziest story any sport has ever seen if a 16-year old wins the World Championship on his debut. Would love to see it, but it will be tough against Humphries who is in stunning form.
Luke H by 2 sets in the finals .
Humphries is in stunning form but so is this kid. Gonna be an incredible final
*_"It would be the craziest story any sport has ever seen if a 16-year old wins the World Championship on his debut"_*
1. It's not a sport, it's a pub game, the physique of that kid also confirms it, or the way a professional darts player like Peter Wright presents himself.
2. It's not a world championship when hardly any country takes it seriously.
3. Why should they, when the world championship is always(!) played in England (too funny....) to give English players an unfair advantage, while foreign players are exposed to English drunks doing everything to ruin their game.
@@MichaelDomer If you're unhappy just say it bro. Hating on kid that already might acomplished more than you in life.
If he’s 16, I’m 112
This 49 year old kid is pretty good 😂
When was he 16? 20 years ago???
Started watching darts 4 days ago and I have already seen:
1) a 4-0 reverse sweep (dobey vs cross)
2) a 16 year old reaching the finals
3) top 2 darts players out of the championship
This game is awesome!!!!!!!
106 avg ... over EIGHT SETS.
THAT is insane!
MVG 2017 vs Barney. 114 (Barney 109). Humphries this evening almost 109.... Littler is great, but has not set a new standard of darts yet, although I think the boy is capable of this.
@@kiekiek Imagine poor Barney losing with an average of 109 🤣
It broke him @@clew5687
@@kiekiekwell yes, buy Humphries was against a far ‘’weaker’’ opponent than Littler was. Williams is not the same level of player like Cross, and Humphries was able to seal the deal in fewer legs and sets overall. So it’s ‘’easier’’ to maintain a high avg, when overall played legs/sets is lower.
Nah, Humphries had his best day of his career so far. he would have thrown that average against anyone last night. As for the final, I am convinced Littler will throw at least 103-105, his natural throwing ability is just so good. As for Humphries, it is harder to predict, it is neccessary for him to start at the same level he played last night, as Littler will walk away if he does not. I think Littler is gonna win tonight.@@mura-moto
Littler is a stone cold killer. Love the nod to Cross at the end to raise the hand and promoting what I assume to be a cancer charity on his shirt. Pure class. We need that kind of example for the younger generations.
It would be Paddypower same as all the others, but he cant as hes under 18
i know someone with a similiar name that is also a stone cold killer xd
@@MegaBlobbs I want to see his birth certificate! 16yo with a thick beard that would put my husband to shame! 🤣
@@MegaBlobbs Specifically all the under 25's (plus Pikachu, probably because don't want to see gambling on a Pokémon shirt) have had the Prostate Cancer UK badge instead of the Paddy Power badge.
Whahaha yeah right the young ones need a fat tub of lard to look up to.
Looks 40 and like he enjoys a Guinness
The biggest story ever to happen in darts since the awakening of MVG. Bring it home son 🏴
The title never left the UK bro😂
thats the oldest looking sixteen year old I've ever seen😅
Bro he is my Dad
Looks 30
He doesn’t Luke his age
He plays the darts everyone expected MvG to play. Just insane.
Whatever happens tommorow, the world champion will be called Luke.
2023 final: Michael vs Michael
2024 final: Luke vs Luke 😂😂
2025: Gerwyn vs gerwen 😂
2026 Jim Williams Vs Scott Williams
Expert analysis.
no way he 16 he looks like he got kids gotten married and divorced
Not being mean but he sure looks like he’s in his 30’s
Rob Cross was very gracious in defeat... true sportsman there. Well done Luke Littler 👍
Thanks PDC for posting this before posting the highlights & especially ruining it by showing the result in the title, try to remember not everyone can afford to watch it live & can only follow by the highlights. 😢
Agreed. Spoilers like this are no good.
What a talent littler is thought he'd crumble but he excelled. World youth champion and world champion in the space of a month?
As I was watching this on the TV I couldn't believe what I was witnessing... It was so impressive that just before this highlight aired on youtube I was watching my favourite thing.... anything on Liverpool FC .... then the notification came on about this and, I can't believe I'm saying this...but I .... I stopped watching Liverpool and immediately tuned in to this young man and his insane journey..
If you didn't watch it, then you missed absolute class and absolute natural talent.
He wore Gerrard shirts growing up too
Since Taylors retirement dart has needed this and someone new to bring the game to new levels
Not a new standard of darts yet. People forget that 106 averages are not extroardinary, even in longer formats. It has been done many times by Taylor, Mvg, Barney, Wright, Lewis, Anderson, Price, Humphries this very night, Chisnall, and the list goes on.
but it's the way he sees the important moments and grabs them. He has bad legs, but mans up when he needs to.@@kiekiek
@@kiekiekyeah but this standard for a 16y old lad is incredible imagine what he could do if he stays that calm for the next years… then the standard will surely rase
@@petrzwin7113 Possibly...and the average age of pro darts players might drop. Where people before only started playing in the pub at age 16, the new generation might start way earlier and have a huge edge
Actually mind blowing how good he is
I’ve been watching darts for over 40 years and have never seen anything like this kid. Sid Waddell would be doing cartwheels in the studio commentating on him. 👍
Great sportsmanship from the opponent too ❤
I've trained Luke since he was a wee nipper. He threw his first dart at the age of 2. And was getting 180s at the age of 4.
We knew then that he was going to be one of the best, if not the best in the world.
Fast forward to the age of 16, he is smashing it. He's taking us all out for a doner kebab after the final. He's a good kid. Likes a bit of banter and loves playing darts.
@@saltylips9965 salty lips? Sounds like my ex gf.
What a player! That double bull finish literally had me at wow… star in the making
A friend of mine told me to look out for Littler, I was told he is young and cocky but the real deal and thrives on good play. He certainly is, going hy the few matches I have seen this championship. I really regret not putting a bet on a 1/150. He will take some stopping, I think he'll win the final today and become champion and go on to he a familiar sight in darts for the next 25 years!
The 16 year old 30 year old really is a talent hope her stays on the path to greatness
Yeah, I thought he was 30 when I first saw his image on the news, before the TV anchorman said his age is 16. 😂
@@hants68 Ikr 😂😂👏 and he talks and acts over 30, too. 😆
lying on the internet for clout is fun but it's a lot more fun off line
This guy looks like at LEAST A 25 YR OLD MAN 💯😵💫

Luke’s finishing is unbelievable
wich one?
what?

@@thadonis. The white lad
Of course it always remains to be seen how it goes in a new match, but this final at least has the potential to be one of the very best in history, with Luke vs Luke both playing insanely well and having truly scarily good peaks.
Rob Cross...you're a gentleman. 👍🏼
seems like a good fellow....no doubt a fellow bradford city supporter
Gonna be the best of all time
Is the sportsmanship in darts always like this? I've never really watched it, but following Littler this time, I've noticed that it seems to be common feature that players are genuinely magnanimous in defeat and congratulatory of their opponents.
So 2024! Starts with: You can't be nice toward your opponent? Great(sigh)
Luke Littler got his driver's license when he was 3 years old
16 year old with 20 years experience in a 40 year old body😂
This final is going to be crazy. I think Luke will win it.
Well done Lad for your age you achieve your goals in your sport to reach a final on your first attempt absolutely brilliant from a Fan Dublin Ireland
Littler is without doubt Premier League material, just look at how comfortable he feels throwing 100+ averages at the grandest stage in darts
No question about his skill level, but I think if he doesn't win tomorrow they should let him get some time rather than put all that extra pressure on him. They wouldn't have picked Williams if he'd made the final. Of course, if you win the World Championship you belong in the Premier League.
@@Silk1970 also he is only 16 I think he wants to spend time with his friends rather than traveling around the world every week
@@Silk1970the whole country is talking about littler and the premier League is an exhibition to promote darts. Williams not getting in if he made the final is completely irrelevant
@@muchiosgracias4 It doesn't have rankings points but it's more than an exhibition. Otherwise they'd have picked Fallon Sherrock. If the kid burns out then they don't get him promoting darts for the next couple of decades.
@@Silk1970 they didn't pick Fallon because she would have been humiliated. Littler will do the humiliating
It will come out next week that he is 37. Do not doubt me. Still, what a performance.
Never really watched or been interested in darts, but this kid is going to bring so much attention to the sport, me included!
THE NUKE KID ON THE BLOCK 🔥💪😄
Look at the state of this guy at 16 years old ffs you look 30 lad
He probably is😂
This kid is something else haha I’ve never watched darts! Played it though! It’s great to see the respect he’s getting off the opponents he beats! They know he’s a future champ!
16 in the final, and has already developed a world class Beer belly, honestly there is no stopping him😂
At 16 he should look littler.
His expression at the end when that last dart hit double 10. wow wow
He is 16?! He looks like 36 year old father with 3 kids who's spent more time in the pub than at home...
I dont really watch darts but this has peaked my interest, incredible young fella
Good to see someone in their late 20s doing well in darts.
What a player !! Great darts by two fantastic players , good sportsmanship . Can’t wait for the finals , I’m rooting for Littler 🙏. What a player .
what is the name of the song/chant that starts playing at the end?
chase the sun
It will be so tough to keep this up but what a performance so far! if this is what we can expect in coming years, we could have a new Taylor and once with more years to notch up the titles... frightening to think what his record could end up being!
16? Come on he's 30
The boys train very hard in their local boozers for hours on end to achieve this level.
Pint after pint , dart after dart , missed calls from the missus , the ever expanding waist band.
They put the hours in and my days , it’s starting to show , the level on display now is next level.
Kids a fucking machine. We're looking at the GOAT in the making. That double bull then double 16 was incredible
Haven’t watched darts in decades but watching a 16yr old hit two bullseyes and a double for a finish is an eye opener. 😮
That double bullseye was naughty 💪
When Luke hits those savage three dart finishes his eyes are like a hawk man. He has such good rhythm
He looks in his 30s how is he 16 😂
Trebles for show, doubles for dough 🤩🤩🤩
I’ve not watched darts in a long time but I don’t recall seeing darts that good. Just ruthless
Rob Cross is an absolute gentlemen of the sport. He couldn't help but smile the whole way through, well done lads.
I think he's the best player I've ever seen, even better than Phil Taylor. Some of it was mind blowing. Two bulls and a double 16 to check out is just ridiculous, as was the 149.
16?!? Dude looks 34
Credit to Rob Cross.
Lost to kid, but showed dignity and sportsmanship in defeat.
If this guy have 16, I'm the king of England.
What a player, that 132 finish was special.
Man! This Littler guy is insane!
What a phenomenal performance from this young lad and the class Rob Cross showed in defeat and respect for Luke was great to see. Humphries will be a tough opponent in the final but I have no doubt to believe Littler can win it. Good luck in the final kid 👍
0:30 Okay!
1:15 OKay!
2:12 OKAy!
3:56 OKAY!
16 summers You say? Oh dear...that kid's COOL as F#/&% 😀
Well played young man absolutely smashed it! Now bring home the title!
1:41 this leg man, what a leg of darts
If littler keeps playing like this,
He would be the next phil taylor
How darts in some circles is not classed as a sport is bordering on a criminal offense..the level of skill at this championship is incredible and could be topped off with one of the greatest sporting achievements ever ... whoever wins deserves it it's been great entertainment...
A sport requires physical exertion, which this doesn't. It's not a sport. That doesn't mean you don't require talent to compete.
It's extraordinary that Break Dancing which isn't a sport is being allowed into the Olympic games but Darts which is a sport but isn't allowed in the Olympics games? The mind boggles. 🙄
@@tensemurm5924Darts is a sport just like Archery is, Break Dancing isn't a sport but is being allowed into the Olympic games. Now that is ludicrous.
@@Zarkava8 Like I said, sports require physical exertion. That's literally the dictionary definition.
Does darts have a physical aspect? No. Does dancing? Yes.
If the darts were 10x heavier and had resistance as you throw them, perhaps it'd be a sport.
@@tensemurm5924 you are wrong though. The Oxford definition states it requires physical effort or skill, not 'and' skill. There are plenty of sports that use little energy
The Steve Davies of darts, cool calculated and the only one that will be sober tomorrow night
Still have Humphries to win it, but what a run for the kid and what a final we have. Can’t wait!
The kid has that wow factor. Cold as ice, looks unflappable and has that killer instinct about him. It's still very early in his young career, but as with Phil Taylor, I think we are seeing a once in a generation kinda talent.
Kid? He looks 45
@@theinvisible8027he's 16 but looks old as hell
