I’m so glad I found this informative video today. We live in western Canada (not far from the Canadian Badlands which are also very cool) and we love to take road trips to go exploring and hiking in the US at least once every year. This summer we will be in the Rapid City area for the 3rd time but this will be our first time to Badlands NP. Thank you for answering a bunch of questions I had about this beautiful Park, and now I’m off to check out your other videos!

Hi, I really enjoyed your videos. Question, I am not a hiker, but love exploring. Do you know of a few easy trails that are doable for beginners inside Badlands Park?

First off, thank you for this informative video. If we enter thru Pinnacles entrance, which overlook would give us the best sunrise view of Badlands? Also, for sunset, which overlook would give us the best view? Lastly, can we do the loop road from Pinnacles thru Ben Reifel to Minuteman?

Yes, you can drive the loop that way! You'll find sunrise and sunset recs here: www.nps.gov/thingstodo/badl-sunrises-sunsets.htm

If you don't mind me asking how was the pay any good in being a park ranger? I was thinking about becoming one, but I don't know anyone personally that was a park ranger. I read it was a two or three college to become one and did you get to work outside a lot?

I did get a lot of time outside in my jobs, but it depends on what kind of park ranger you want to be! Some don't require much college, and some require a lot more as well. I would say average salary is around $35k-$50k unless you make a long-term career out of it and work your way higher up the ranks.

So you never went there….you’re reading 2nd hand advice off the internet and telling people what to do Lol 🙉

What? Ash clearly states that she has visited Badlands many times (see comment starting at 1:20). Don’t be a hater because she was fortunate enough to be chosen as a ranger and then spent years on the road with her family experiencing our country….be grateful that she’s sharing her experiences so that we all can have our best trips to the National Parks.

Wtf are you talking about, she’s been there many times. We used her itineraries at Teton and Yellowstone last year and recently bought her Rocky Mt and SD park itineraries for this summer because we found them so helpful.

@mike_Greentea I'd suggest going back and watching the video again and listen closely. When you're done, you might want to consider deleting your 1st comment and maybe making an apology comment.
