did you make any changes to the wires in the battery box? what battery do you use? I saw a video saying the wires ends were not made for a lithium batteries so they would have to make some changes to the connections..
I use a 60ah lithium. The connecting ends on the wiring in the battery box can very simply be swapped for the correct post adapters. I got a pair at a local auto store for a few bucks and swapped them out. That is the only adjustment needed for a lithium battery :)
Do you happen to have a video of the upgrade to the battery post. I ordered the Dorado v2 aswell and have read the same thing about swapping out the battery connections. New to the motor kayak/pedal and wanting some info on it. Thanks.
Thank you! Tough call. Very different kayaks and both extremely stable. The 108 is bulkier and bigger.. but the dorado is a much better kayak.. I would suggest you sat in both to see what fits you better. One will definitely fit you better than the other
Seat is amazing! Cushion is on the back for a reason. I wear an inflatable PFD sometimes and other times I wear an NRS chinook PFD. The chinook has a back flotation piece and since I am short, the cushion helps my lower back since the PFD is on my upper back only. Also, what’s wrong with being more comfortable when I spend 12 hours or more in my seat very often? 😂
Very different kayaks. I highly suggest checking them out in person. It’s hard for me to choose what’s best for you and your body type/uses/ability..etc. personally I like the dorado for its pre wired electronics, lighting and inside storage. Plus the gravity seat is my favorite seat on the market! But if you try both, you may feel the native is better fit for you… definitely check a local dealer or go on owners groups on fb and see if you can meet up with someone and try them both:)
Super nice review! If I had a choice, I would take the Dorado over the Hobie Pro Angler 14 and Old Town Big water! The Dorado is Definitely a luxury Yak!
I’ve fished a day out of the Hobie PA14… that boat made me think kayaks were stupid for some time lol it’s such a bad kayak. I’m looking into options though.
Not necessarily. I have had quite few people with bad balance standing on these too. And I always teach to plan to swim and test the stability of any kayak when you first get it. You would be surprised how people can stand on these with bad balance. Especially the dorado and larger kayaks
Trying to get one of these kayaks, i want to start fishing tournaments and filming
how did u install the battery box ? there should have been leads in the box correct ? hard wired into the 2 quick connects that go into the boat?
Great video! Just purchased one. Any tips for mounting your transducer? Having some trouble with mine.
Congrats! The dorado has a transducer arm under the front hatch. You can mount the ducer on the bottom of it pretty easily
Definitely a nice kayak . Nice video . Wife always Tease's me that I should have bought it.

Hey bro, great review. Which is more stable to you, the V2 Dorado or the 3 Waters Big Fish 108? Thanks bro, sick yak.

@@TheBassquatchHunter Thanks bro, sure thing.
Do you know if a Dakota lithium 12v 100ah will fit in that battery box?
I believe it is the same size as my 60ah. I’d ask that in the feelfree owners group since I know a lot of guys run 100ah
Loves the seat but has a cushion on it 😅

This or the new Titan Propel X 12.5... What do you guys think?

Nice rig bro....
Thank you!
It's obvious you have great balance. I hope other people don't think they can walk around on this kayak the way you do. It's a recipe for disaster.
