I know it's been a while since I've last uploaded, but here I've got a nice video I've been working on for the past month! My friend Jason made the claim that Sakuya Izayoi (Touhou), the chief maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, could beat Goku (Dragon Ball Super Anime)! In response, I've decided to make a video figuring out who is the strongest!
This is was fun to do (Even though it took too long). This is mostly in response to my friend rather than a 100% accurate power scaling video, but I tried my best!

They have a whole system to make sure no character can go “full power” so trying to scale them is like trying to figure out how skilled a chess player is at chess by only watching them play checkers

This is one of the best Touhou powerscaling videos here.
Not downplaying cuz “lack of on screen feats”, but also not hilariously artificially boosting the verse to like, 7D or Outer or whatever. Goku’s stats are also very very reasonable in this video.
Touhou has this pretty bad reputation where people will wank it to the highest heavens and take things out of context and use fanmade statements to justify canon. And you just made the perfect video talking about Touhou and how it relates to powerscaling.
I will say, a little criticism, I don’t think you’ve explained how Touhou gets to Universal? You did explain Infinite speed so thats good, and you also explained Goku’s side. I mean, I know what feats and statements that get Touhou there, but to a viewer who isn’t savvy of Touhou, there’s no context for them.

Don't act like most characters don't have inconsistent feats because Goku does too. Bro literally got hurt by a bullet in one Super episode.
Personally i don't think most characters in all media are anywhere above 3D, not counting time gods and paradoxes and omnipotent gods, and it stems from comic book authors. Comic book authors are not mathematicians and blatantly misunderstand dimensions, but unfortunately its now the basis for dimensionality in all pop media.

I disagree with a lot of this video but I do think Goku would win.
First of all, it's never stated nor shown that "raw strength can overcome hax". In fact theres several situations in which it explicilty doesn't, like Shin paralyzing a full-power Gohan who was leagues beyond him. The only actual example is Vegito still being able to act while candy, and while their is an explaination of Vegito being able to keep his strength even if his form changes, that's from supplimentary media and may or may not be canon.
The two fights vs Hit are arguments either for the statement of strength overpowering hax or of saying Goku transcends time. I think this comes from a misunderstanding of how Hit's ability works. He doesn't stop time, he skips it. People still move, but only along their predetermined actions; they can't react to anything. Goku defended by predicting him, so he already was going to move, thus not needing to react. He later is able to resist the paralysis during the skipped time because it's a ki ability, and strength *can* overcome those, since the strength comes from ki too.
During the second battle he simply broke the dimension Hit was storing the time in to nullify his ability. Which is a great feat, don't get me wrong, but it isn't an example of transcending time or overpowering hax.
Finally with the speed. You first used Instant Transmission to claim Goku has infinite speed, even though its teleportation and thus an ability unrelated to speed. The Cooler movie is non-canon and uses a different system for instant transmission than the main canon, before that's broight up
Secondly, the argument about moving in the void giving him immesurable speed doesn't make sense. I see this argued a lot in power scaling and I genuinely don't understand it. Just because nothing's there doesn't mean everything that goes there is frozen? If there's a reason for this please tell me
The point I disagree with the most is the last one. I can't tell if it was serious or not, but powerscaling characters isn't disrespectful to the creator. If the creator explicitly says they don"t want it then respect their wishes, but otherwise, the only problem is how disrespectful most power scalers are. There seems to be a prevaling notion that a stronger character is somehow better so people will get into arguments and fight tooth and nail for their character to win, when that's against the entire spirit of power scaling. Power scaling is a way to express your love for the characters and to learn more about them by debating their abilities and strength, not some dick measuring contest. So in short, power scaling isn't disrespectful, it's just that many power scalers are

Good video. As someone who loves both Dragon Ball and Touhou Project
Touhou Scalers tends to forget Dragon Ball’s cosmology is quite larger than Touhou’s cosmology by a UNGODLY amount.
Scaling Touhou characters can be a hustle, even if you wanna bring other stuff like 12.3 and Lost Word to boost up its cosmology but Dragon Ball has stuff like Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Xenoverse and other games to back up its cosmology as well.

Time stop has always been a weird thing to implement, especially against fast characters
No character can fully freeze time. That would stop light from moving, and stop gravity from working, and prevent electrons from moving causing the temperature to plummet to absolute zero
The most logical explanation for time “stops” is that they slow it down so much that no creature can move, but atoms still can
This means that light can still reflect, albeit slowly which could cause the whole “it looks like they are standing still”
It also lets temperature be survivable, though the user wouldn’t be able to use it forever or they’d freeze
If actually love to see a character with these kind of drawbacks. Like, yeah they could almost completely freeze time, but they wouldn’t be able to see and would freeze if they use it for too long

or they themselves are the only one who time is not stopped for and anything that touchs them i.e knifes also stops being time stopped but only when the person is touching them

Sakuya got one of the most busted hacks in the tohou series (funny considering she is not even a top tier in her verse mayhe cuz spell card rules but idk) so she really aint weak there is so many things she can do that Goku can't resist, oh yeah and Reimu vs Goku is a straight up slam since Goku cant kill Reimu and from what i remenber she can attack the soul.

you can get goku to multiple layers into outer without guides or using the otherworld or arales scale. This guy lowballed but used a simple and fair scale so im not really hung up Abt it.

Ehhh... in Imperishable Night, the corridor wasn't really infinite. Reisen was sealing all the door on her way to block the protagonists' way. So after defeating Reisen, they began to open doors and _just look at this luck_ ,they found Kaguya.
It is said to be "infinite" in Urban Legend in Limbo, but there isn't even infinite too. There were minuscule gaps in space-time with were infinitely linked with each other simulating to be infinite. (They literally said "can we have Endless Stairs?" "We have endless stair at home")

I shall be honest, I usually don't like/care for powerscaling videos (powerscaling can get wonky depending on the series, source materials and especially if it's between different universes), but this one was really well done and the first one, at least from the arguments or analysis I saw, to use as a point the nature of Ki allowing protection/nullification, at least to a degree, towards hax if the character is stronger than the other by a certain margin, so you get my like.
Still things like these always make you wonder about the potential interactions between characters of different works....... Meiling interacting with most of the people of the dragonball universe would be very cool.

Wow this video is really good like damn, one of the most refreshing powerscaling videos I've seen in a long time that is honest and very humble with what you're trying to say, as a fan of both series I definitely understood your sentiment at the end of the video and your analysis of how Zun writes his characters/world/abilities etc. This is the type of content and opinions I wish we could have in the community

Touhou is one of my favorite series, but trying to pair Sakuya vs Goku especially post DBS is... yeah no. Sakuya is strong, but it's questionable how she stacks in her own setting these days, especially considering the big names, let alone Goku of all people outside of that. she just didn't have it here.

Sakuya is amazing to watch, don't get me wrong, i think my favorite interp of Touhou is MinusT's animated series, where recently she had a blade fight with Youmu, but... you'd need to pick someone else to go against Goku. at least pick Marisa for the hopes of a Magical vs Beam struggle.

This power scaling is extremely accurate this video is an amazing resource tbh. I just think you gassed up instant transmission too much, he has to take time to find a target and move his fingers to his head, so its definitely not instant.

Touhou characters can be be scaled with the cosmology with string theory and the dream world, reaching from high complex multiversal for standard characters like Sakuya, Sanae, Marisa to high hyper with youkai and gods and even low outer for gods nameless/true form. There are quite a few videos detailing the cosmology in power scaling terms

Hello there,
Personally disagree with the ratings for the characters but very clear and concise analysis of the characters that also gets into detail, especially with the comparison 'chart' at the end of their statistics and how they stack up against eachother, makes things very easy to understand.
I actually wouldn't go so far as calling Multiversal Sakuya wank, especially since I've scaled Touhou myself for a long time and in my ratings for verse I have Sakuya being higher than Universal+ and also with Immeasurable speed, and also have seen scales and people arguing for Goku getting him higher than Low Multi from friends of mine.
I still believe Goku does beat Sakuya though it also may ultimately depend on interpretation for what you buy for them and especially so in Sakuya's case because I always see various differing opinions on where Touhou scales, but I will stick with my own ratings and my opinions as well.

The only thing missing is Sakuya's tiering being universally+ concretely proven along with its supposed immeasurable speed without feats yet.
Should mention that she's comparable to characters that can shake the heavens, and 'heavens' in touhou are stated to be many, as many gods there are in touhou actually (approximately 80 million.) there's also arguments for immeasurable speed touhou (mostly stuff from touhou 18.)
this video is right. touhou on porpose has almost no information on anything because the whole point of it is that you can do anything in fan made works. its especially impossible to powerscale because most of touhou powerscaling comes from hacks instead of strenght anyways.

Sonic's lowest possible speed is like, sound speed, and Aya's lowest possible speed is somewhere in the massively hypersonic+ range, going off of Remilia circling around the moon in not much time at all. Going by low ball alone Aya is way faster.

A... surprisingly solid video, wow. I have some issues that I'll go over, but I respect what was done.
Sakuya
In terms of Attack Potency and Durability, I believe it's fair to make both equal unless stated otherwise, considering most Touhou characters are 1:1 with their strength and durability.
Sakuya scales above the likes of Shinki who created and destroyed Makai (Uni+ feat).
She scales above Clownpiece, the latter is confirmed twice to be as strong as a Kishin. Unfortunately, we don't know how strong the average Kishin is, but we can make an assumption based on another character.
Suika destroyed parts of Heaven which range between Uni+ or Low Multi. More than likely low Multi as she destroyed a fraction of heaven (more on that later). She also implied the feat she performed is something other Onis are capable of doing. So, Clownpiece should have the AP capable of doing the same (probably not the range though)
Heaven is made of multiple realms. They are larger than the Netherworld, and the Netherworld is larger than Hell which is infinite in size.
Basically, consider Heaven similar (if not greater) than the Uni7 macrosm in terms of scope. (Having multiple parts + each part being larger than a realm larger than an infinite-sized realm).
Sakuya > Clownpiece (severely), so Sakuya upscale from either Uni+ (lowball) to Low Multi (midball) [There are arguments for higher dimensions, but I don't want to argue those cause I'm bad at em]. There's more to argue, like Tenshi's Low Multi (minimum) feat, but this is already long.
In terms of Speed, there is a scaling chain and like... three immeasurable speed feats and 1 inaccessible speed feat (assuming anyone cares for that, I don't). Sakuya has two attacks that operate on the past, present, and future. Condensing them so that the target is assaulted by all three points in time. Characters can dodge this attack (Aka, dodging an attack from the past and future through raw speed).
Keep in mind that every speed feat is done casually.
Goku - Okay, I have a few problems with him. The easiest one is the "nice complex hax".
No. Goku cannot negate hax so long as he's stronger than his foe. It's a common misconception, but looking through the entire franchise basically debunks that notion. 99% of the time, the ability in question works as intended. Rare cases (like Buu vs Vegito) still works, in fact the Dazenshuu (cannot spell it) straight up tells us that Vegito's "unique" property is what helped him keep his strength as a candy. Every single one of Buu's techniques worked, except half the effect of his candy beam which didn't work because of special properties of Vegito, not because he was stronger.
Some Dragon Ball abilities simply have that weakness, even Hit in the Manga does. You can't apply that logic to Abilities outside of the verse, when even in the verse that negation ability is locked to a select few Abilities and there's plenty of cases of Abilities working on stronger foes.
In terms of abilities, I don't think you gave Sakuya enough respect (imo). With her full arsenal, Sakuya can
Slow down attacks that enter her vicinity
Teleport
Summon alternate versions of herself
Create forcefields
Boost her stats
Resurrect
Befome intangible
Become invulnerable
Reflect attacks
Has homing attacks
Can erase things from existence
Radiation inducing (Goku can still get ill, but maybe it wouldn't work-)
Durability Negation
Briefly Nullify powers
Reduce someone's stats
Heal
Telekinesis
Ice Manipulation (Goku can get frozen)
And she actually CAN accelerate the age of objects or people, and even erase them from time and space.
This doesn't include universal abilities every character in Touhou has. For example.
Her attacks can steal someone's energy and empower herself with it
Transmutation (projectiles)
Regenerate her soul (and maybe even survive without one for a period of time?)
And more.
Many of these things are stuff Goku can't negate. And as the fight continues, Goku will most likely be getting weaker while Sakuya continues to grow stronger. So, imo, Sakuya wins. Especially since I didn't even include everything she can do.

You forgot one thing.
Mortal Realm is 3D Hell is 4D Heaven is at least inf 4d. Now the Cosmology can reach between 5-8D due to the dimensional scaling of the Kaioshin Realm and the Neutral Zone. Now, through the King Kai scan, it's stated that the Kaioshin Realm is at least 2 dimensions above Heaven, placing it at 6D. Now the Neutral Zone scales at least 1-2 dimensions above the highest dimension in the macrocosm, due to it being the void that seperates each of the universes in Universe 7.
Now, I'll talk in the sense that the Kaishin Realm is on the same dimensional leveling as Heaven. That puts U7 at least at 5-6D.
So goku can be scaled up to 6D to low complex multiversal.
Edit: I was wrong on that one Goku is 5D.

touhou is very hard to powerscale everyone is basically playin magic paintball (fights are non lethal due to spellcard rules) giving very little feats in terms of AP or defense
the haxx in touhou is completely insane but very vague with some characters having abilities that are never showcased (like remilia having the ability to manipulate fate whetever tf that means XD)
some characters in there prob can wipe goku (yuyuko's ability is litterally the death note with no counters limitations or ways to resist it the ability itself says it has no counter unless you can revive yourself you prob toast) but even then it's hard to say for sure with dragon balls haxx nullification

You could bump touhou's cosmology way up because it works on string theory. I forget where its stated but I would imagine it'd be something in the CD albums, cause Renko's whole thing is believing in the science and trying to find an objective answer to the strange happenings of her and Maribel's adventures, so she probably mentions string theory somewhere.
I also don't think that either goku or Sakuya have anything near infinite speed, most of the stuff with Goku is just dragon ball authors not understanding the concepts they're using or utilizing them properly, a timeless void usually just means time doesn't pass outside of it and it's properties effect everyone inside of it universally, it's not a unique thing to Goku (normal ass humans in dragon ball do NOT have immeasurable speed fight me), and Hit's time abilities are stated in the manga to not work on people who are stronger than him, because he uses his ki to restrict things, he's not actually targeting space-time itself (im tempted to throw anything involving hit out of the window anyways because without that explanation it's basically just the laws of the universe bending in Goku's favor because he was written into a corner...)
As for Sakuya, the infinite corridor thing doesn't really make sense either when you actually know touhou lore, because Kaguya literally just steps into the corridor herself when she fights you, ending your journey because she's bored. Otherwise, faster than light ranges makes sense for both characters.
Also knowing touhou lore, the humans are a *terrible* matchup for goku because they can't effectively take advantage of the power system that makes touhou characters so busted in the first place, barring Reimu herself. I'm willing to bet that Goku actually stalemates the majority of the cast if not outright losing to the higher tier characters, because he literally just wouldn't be able to kill any of them without verse equalization. Godly regeneration is the bare minimum for the youkai in gensokyo, any attack that doesn't carry spiritual meaning can't hurt them. Goku's only win condition would be to murder a bunch of innocent people so that the youkai aren't believed in, and they can't ressurect themselves.
1. Yes, the Touhou Universe does work under string theory. It's kinda complex reading about all of the cosmology... LMAO
2. I can see how both characters could arguably not have infinite speed, but I decided to stick with direct statements or feats, as well as seeing how potentially fast they could both be!
3. Oh yeah, as for the Hit ability, don't forget that the DBS Anime and DBS Manga are both under 2 different canons! Both are canon, but both are interpreted differently! I went with the anime because Manga Goku is STUPID strong. You're not wrong if we look at it from the manga perspective.
When it comes to the infinite corridor feat, powerscalers heavily argue the validity of Sakuya having infinite speed, saying she either reached the end or that Kaguya just stepped in to end the corridor, so I went with the more direct/literal feat that she crossed the corridor!
4. Correct... Getting into the nitty gritty of the Youkai, the way abilities work in the first place in Gensokyo, the limitations of the Spell Cards, etc, etc... Gets funky quick.

Occam's razor and all, the correct answer is the most simple and logical answer, and that would be what's shown on screen, not outside statements that might not actually correlate with what's happening.
You forgot to mention that Sakuya has age acceleration and can summon alternate versions of herself. Also while Dragon Ball characters can nulify certain hax once stronger by a certain level its not just being slightly stronger, if that was the case then the hax would be completely nullified but in a lot of cases their more so weakened depending on the gap in power plus we've never seen them deal with anything especially complex, hakai is existence erasure but its existence erasure born from a form of ki which obviously means it can be overcome with stronger ki. Not saying any of this too discredit Goku btw, Touhou power scaling is pretty wacky so i don't look into it too much.

2. Sakuya being able to compress the future and past together to temporarily create different versions of herself is here -> 3:42
3. Hakai (Destroyer Energy) is the strongest form of ki we know of. Base Goku was capable of resisting (but not overpowering) Hakai's Existence Erasure because he has a strong ki, so you're half-right. Same goes for SSBE Vegeta overpowering Toppo's Hakai. However, Beerus is the strongest G.O.D, so his Hakai's power can't be comparable to either. Beerus has mastered Hakai and is capable of destroying much more.
He explains to Vegeta he can do this because he has destroyed his mind and recreated it from scratch, only having destruction on his mind. This allows his power to be limitless, because he has nothing else holding him back from his fullest extent of power.
This means that Hakai's fullest power hasn't been shown by Vegeta, Goku, or Toppo. Assuming these characters have mastered Hakai as much as Beerus has, their Hakai probably couldn't be nullified by stronger Ki, since it's true power/destructive capacity is measured by the user's state of mind.
