I remember this episode. This guy blame the wrong party for the lost of his family as the real guilty party was the building owner who is aware the building isn't up to fire safety code.
I guess it's because of its compact size. Most bolt cutters I know are gigantic af. And they're pretty inconvenient to have on your back, especially if your job involves running after people in full SWAT gear.

I really want the LAPD and whatever SWAT unit this team could be based on to denounce this show. I’m not saying the actors and crew don’t do their jobs or don’t work hard and I’m a fan of this show but Jesus this show is hitting all the wrong marks.

And the fact that you saw the commander talking to them over a Baofeng UV-5R cheap chinese radio, which is what they all used the first few seasons..

They can't have medics waiting 45 minutes for officers to check every knook and cranny if they know the scene is well and clear. Fire and medical are equipped with ballistic vests and helmets now, allowing them to move in sooner.
