That is the cutest design.... Love it. I am getting ready to do some masking on my Christmas cards so this was encouraging and a great refresher. Starting to feel better, finally!
I love this card! Thank you for sharing these masking tips. It's always amazing to see what the area looks like after the masking tape or post-it is removed. Your teaching is always so understandable.
I might be able to mask as well as you - when pigs fly!! lol Therese, I adore these pigs and watching them come to life in your own special way makes them even more special! =]
Hello Therese! These pigs are adorable. I've always struggled with masking multiple images. I can do a single layer but my brain has a hard time wrapping itself around which comes first with multiples. Awesome tips! Thanks.
What a cute card I am not very much for this postage style look but I do like yours because it was much more simple and it was also kind of exaggerated because it was bigger holes and a bigger scalloped edge. I just really liked that die that you had for the postage type look, very well done
I hear you, sometimes I have got it wrong, that's why I have started sketching now, especially if it's multiple layers, cause I too can get muddled lol.
Great video and tips. I will sometimes use the masking magic to get that one stamp that will not go to the edge. remove stencil, and put masking magic there. It is thinner than the stencil material and you can get the stamp closer to the cardstock.
About two sentences in, you hit upon what might be my problem with masking: I rarely ever plan any card I make 😂. I prefer Tim Holtz‘s „compartmental making“ approach and the look at my bits and pieces and see what inspires me. But thank you for the clear instructions, ideas and tips: I will be sure to give this a try!
hahaha totally love the idea of the 'compartmental making' approach, I must try it lol. Thanks so much for your lovely visit here today Nicola, I hope you have fun giving this a try!
I have a question for you. I bought some masking fluid quite a while ago. I’m one of those people when I get started with something like stencil or whatever and I see these products. I think well I must have to have that that must be needed for some thing and I just buy it, I’ve never seen anyone use masking fluid and have no idea how to use it. Have you ever used masking fluid before, you familiar with that? Thank you I love your videos and I love your personality. You’re such a darling person to watch and you have a great sense of humor and you teach really very unique and helpful videos so I really enjoy your channel.
There are not many opportunites where I need to use liquid masking in card making, but you definitely can. Especially if there is a specific element that you want to mask and there is no other way to do it (ie too intricate) then liquid is certainly an option. You can also use it to create patterns etc. I really must play with it again. Here is one video where I tried it (a long while ago), but there are a couple more, if you are on my UA-cam channel simply search Molotow ua-cam.com/video/BPBBJGV4Qkw/v-deo.htmlsi=qceei1IPVleqy8H0 Hope this helps! Hugs Tx ps thank you so much for your kind words, you have made my day!
@@lostinpaper thank you so much for your help and you are very kind and humorous and just a very great content creator. You also have just very interesting out of the box cards. I like very contemporary modern cards and I find that a lot of your cards fit into that category so the compliments are very well deserved and I’m very glad to have made your day because you do that for us so thank you, thank you also for the link I will check that out
I like 'spring' scissors, as the mechanism of the spring re-opens the scissors as you are cutting, so there is less effort (plus you don't have to get big knuckles into the scissor holes each time). I use some from Tonic that I have had for 20+ years and these aren't easy to find, but I've had my eye on the new ones from Tim Holtz as they are very similar. They sell these at Simon Says and this is an affiliate link (which means I get a small commission at no extra cost to you - or you could search for spring scissors instead) shrsl.com/4mq4g I found this link in Australia for the ones I use www.tkpaperboutique.com.au/products/tonic-studio-titanium-spring-cut-scissors Hope this helps, have a great and crafty day, Therese

Hello Therese! These pigs are adorable. I've always struggled with masking multiple images. I can do a single layer but my brain has a hard time wrapping itself around which comes first with multiples. Awesome tips! Thanks.
I was the same, that's where the sketch really helps me 'see it' before I start. Hope you are having a fabulous weekend Lori!

I agree, this style of die, gives more of a modern 'postage' look.
masking muddles my head. I haven't done much of it yet. I prefer to use it with flowers. thanks Therese!
I hear you, sometimes I have got it wrong, that's why I have started sketching now, especially if it's multiple layers, cause I too can get muddled lol.
Gorgeous! ❤
Thanks so much Tracey Mwah!

What do you reccommend for someone with arthritis who struggles to fussy cut?
