- This stage is the arrangment of the original smw stage called "gnarly". Climbing up and falling, quite simple.

Ota City Sky is the best Mario tune ever! (I know it comes from Terra Diver but most people associate it with SMW)
Cool or Cruel used to be merely amazing. Now, it has transcended 'romhack' to become something else entirely.

I remember like, 3, 4 years ago when I subscribed to you because I thought MakJang looked like it was going to be "a cool hack". Then that hack was lost. But you started making a new one, so I stuck around. I'm definitely glad I did, getting to see this masterpiece... is just freaking amazing. Also the description just makes this video. lol
beautifully made level that I have absolutely no desire to play, really fun to watch, though. Love the Soukyugurentai music, I was not expecting that at all. The descending part with the block snakes was nuts.
Words can't describe how astonished I was when I saw all the different gimmicks and mind-blowing things in this level. It's fantastic.

So far, I've had 2 dreams that I played this level. In both dreams, I messed up horribly and did everything wrong...

So this is the "Cool" aspect of Cool or Cruel huh? Needless to say, that this masterpiece is awesome. You took some things from your other hack and made it just as better. I must say, though I've said that about the other stages, that this is the best one yet.
The name of the boss, I can't really take it seriously, but at least it was very entertaining to watch.
Now I'm curious what would've happened if you hit the first goalpost instead of the second one, or you missed it completely? XD

13:22 Just when I thought it was the original level. This stage is so weird. The first part reminded me of Cube 2 Hypercube, and the freefall reminded me of Quickman's stage from Megaman 2, and the boss was just pure gold. Wonder if Tubular will be an arranged version also.
@Error52QFG Are you kidding? C|C would be never the same without the masterfully designed traps and gimmicks. Though epic custom music is a great extra too, of course.
So, what happens if you mess up shelling the boss somehow? (like if you were to somehow toss a shell the wrong direction or something or not shell fast enough, I know that doesn't seem likely, but I was just curious) Do you just die or does the phase repeat or?
I have a question. I looked for the original version of Terra Driver - Ota City Sky Stage 1, but I can't find it. Then I googled it and nothing. It's from a game or something like that because I found No information about it :(
Two questions.
1. How does the silver P-switch thing with Yoshi actually work? Is it doable in the original SMW cart as well?
2. Why did you undercut the first goal bar? Is it a kaizo trap?
Other than that... I really just have no comment for this other than "amazing." Your SMW levels are a great blend between frustration, excellent design, and just plain fun. Just watching the levels themselves is a trip, just to see what crazy stuff pops up next.

A few questions I have. Did you modify the custom block that can spawn custom sprites or make your own? I see that in one part you hit one with a shell, yet the one I downloaded from SMWCentral can't be hit with an item. Also, if I make it spawn a creating block, it always goes right first instead of up.

@worldpeace125 I wonder how difficult it will be to put all the levels together on the same ROM after they're all made. It's almost like the hack is evolving along with the higher standards of hacking (the first 9 levels had flunchers and cutoff, and the next two have sampled music, more custom sprites, and almost no munchers). This is one of the most chocolate Kaizo hacks I've ever seen, but I like how it still retains some vanilla flavor.

If you go through the first one, Mario will die as soon as he touches the goal tape because of the way the fast autoscroll is coded. Not sure how he got the fast autoscroll to stop at the last screen. Prolly used a custom generator.
I don't know yet if I want them. Maybe just to experiment around with it randomly to see what kind of creative ideas come to mind. I was thinking of making a level in my own hack that's inspired by this one, but does NOT copy from it (have not broken ground yet).

Just a small suggestion: next time you upload a video that has annotations, it wouldn't be a bad idea to make the video private or unlisted while adding the annotations, and making it public afterward. I missed all the annotations because it must have just been uploaded. Welp, guess I'd better go play the level.
