MVみるまでは、歌詞を聞いて想像してて。この曲に光があると思ってたんですけど。
MVみたら私の思ってた光はなかったです。
光に憧れてる、孤独の無限ループのなにかがずっとなにかに悶えてる闘ってる印象を感じました。
感じ方はファンそれぞれで、それをみるのも楽しいです。

I can't tell where it's 2D or 3D honestly, the lines seem handdrawn but that'd be unbelievably insane

Check out the director Masanobu Hiraoka. Basically every animation he does is handdrawn either traditionally or digitally, he's got some really cool artwork/animations

it is 3d, usage of cel shading looks pretty great now. either way, it looks great
@@melon9285 I’m sorry, but I just disagree that this is 3D. I don’t doubt that there could be uses of 3D in the making of this, but cel shading does not just magically create lines where you’d like them to, especially in such an abstract and artistically intentional way that this MV depicts. Cel shading is indeed better these days, but not exactly in this way
@@AlexisAlexander646 same I have no idea how they did it but if it was me I’d draw it (2D) then warp the images the way I wanted in 3D then take those warped images (they’re probably blurry but approximately clear from the linework whats happening) and go back over and re-draw the warped images nice and detailed by hand. End result is 100% 2D but assisted by 3D rendering.
It's like the graceful counterpart to that iconic body horror scene near the end of Akira.

ダークルームにいるふさぎ込んだ自分に光を差し込むのは自分自身で、鬱々としてどれだけ外の世界に出て行きたくなくても、自分自身が助けに来てしまう。真っ暗な部屋に光が差し込んでしまう。そうやって生きていくしかないという解釈に落ち着いた
たなかさんの切ない歌い方と、ＭＶの女性の動きが余計にダークルームを最高の曲になってる気がします

the animation reminds me so much of tetsuo’s transformation in akira. it’s so organic and fluid in the way that fungus growing is organic and fluid. it’s like watching a time-lapse of slime mold. even if i didn’t understand the lyrics, the music and the animation really hit in a weird way. good job guys! i love your work.
