- It was "only" delayed 4 months but its finally here! Delivery day of our 2021 Ford Raptor and its better than I had expected!
New features of the 2021/22 Ford Raptor:
5-LINK REAR SUSPENSION WITH PANHARD ROD:
The 5-link rear suspension features extra long trailer arms to better maintain axle position on rough terrain, a pan hard rod a 24-inch coil springs - the longest in the class. The suspension design combined with more sophisticated engine management software means the truck can send more torque to the rear wheels for better off the line performance, faster acceleration and better throttle responsiveness while simultaneously delivering better comfort, stability, handling, control and traction at speed
SPORT TUNED SHOCK ABSORBERS - FRONT AND REAR - FOX RACING SHOX, WITH LIVE VALV TECHNOLOGY:
The gen 3 Raptor features its largest ever shocks the next generation fox live valve internal bypass shocks with state of the art electronic control technology. They offer position sensitive damping adjustability designed to better resist heat buildup and to react even faster to terrain changes for greater confidence during extended desert running. The larger anodized aluminum shock bodies are filled with all new low friction shock fluid specially designed to decrease frictional losses inside the damper for improved off and on road comfort. New electronically controlled base valves are race proven, with an upgraded design enabling over 1000 damping per corner at desert speeds.

I felt the same till I saw it in person. Gen 3 Definitely grew on me. Felt in love with the interior and the new facia.
@@ponce1890 The raptor will always look really good. In my opinion they just look better every time Ford does a redesign because it looks sort of similar to the last Gen Raptor.

lol When i picked up mine in december, another sales guy walked up to me and told me congrats and let me know that they arent making the 22s in leadfoot and i got their last Leadfoot 21'. I drove off the lot a happy man...(and straight to get the whole front clear bra'd). thanks for your videos, they were a huge help in making my final decison on f150 trims . Cant wait for Raptor Content!

Really like these Gen 3 Raptors & I think the exhaust sounds great.
I have a Chevy ZR2, because that’s my budget (paid $45K) & the Tacoma TRD Pro was uncomfortable for me, plus the transmission was hunting for gears the entire time I drove it. I’m hoping I can afford a Raptor some day - will enjoy your content in the meanwhile. 👍🏻🇺🇸
for 45k you could have gotten a gen 2 raptor.

1 year ago you picked up the 21 F150 and today its the 21 Raptor
The headlights should clear up. Mine was the same, moisture in the headlights upon delivery, but once they dried up it never came back. Guessing it was left over from manufacturing process. Also try manual mode in Sport and under full throttle. The shifts are much faster, down shifts as well!
Well at 65.000- close to 70.k a Rivian R1T would kick the Raptor in the nuts so bad on all points inside-out !.. (* _ * )

nah, it's only a 801. 803 is where it's at when it comes to Raptors.
It had 98.1 miles when you picked it up, I would be dissapointed with that. For me if a car has more than 40miles its a used car. Congrats on the new ride though!
I honestly don't know about that exhaust honestly now could make it so it no longer passes emissions with a custom exhaust on it it could be tied to a computer that can't be changed hopefully not but yeah awesome looking truck for sure
Ford actually put a lot of work into that exhaust. Every custom exhaust on old raptors sounded horrible. This one on Baja with valves open sounds great.
Congratulations! Very happy for you :) My dad has a Raptor that is scheduled to be arriving February 18th. Antimatter Blue with the 37 Package. Once he gets the trucks, he plans on doing an overland build!

The paddle shift is for offroad use to lock the car in a gear so it doesnt hunt between gears and loose momentum in soft sand or mud
If you want to shift using those and have them be fast you need to change drive modes as well. It adjusts the aggressiveness of the transmission.

Love the video.. Would've been nice to see something other than repeat content though.. Perhaps a Bronco build and some overlanding with the family... Exhausts and rims are nice, but we see them on every car and every video..

Spontaneous things that no one thought about.. Like what happened if you throw your keyfob out the window while driving.. He could do some overlanding builds and actually offroad them..

Roughly, how long did it take for your Raptor to be delivered? Just looking to get a rough estimate on when to expect mine to be delivered, I ordered my Raptor in September, and the dealership hasn’t heard anything about it, except it was made a 2022, instead of a 2021.
Mike, I'm confused. Why did the truck already have 98.1 miles on it? Congrats buddy. I've had mine since 9/30/21 and I'm very pleased with the exhaust and the ride. Big improvement over my Gen 2 Raptor.

Yeap..when i got my f150 ,it only had 9 miles ..I thought that was a lot.
My brother got a 2020 Mustang new with 200 miles and I thought that was nothing.
I was thinking the same thing that’s a lot of driving before he even got it.

My biggest issue with all new trucks is the fact that I can't get a regular/standard cab. My favorite combination is a standard cab with a short bed. I don't want or need a back seat or an extended cab.

The condensation in the headlights will go. This is quite common on new units as they need to seal and acclimatise.

The f150 sounds sooooo good
I actually like that the ecoboost engines are on the quiet side, in a sports car I get the noise and appreciate a nice exhaust but in a truck I kind of like the quiet exhaust. Plus when off-roading in high speeds the truck is bouncing around so much I don’t think you even notice the exhaust being quiet

It looks like the Gen 3 Raptor doesn't have perforated leather on the steering wheel like the Gen 2 does, correct? I wonder why Ford did that? I like the feel of the perforated leather on the wheel. Plus the carbon fiber of the Gen 2, especially the shifter, looks better in my opinion. That truck is sweet though!

Hey Mike @AutoVlog , just looked at a review of the Bronco Raptor and apparently Ford puts two foglights in those but put a cover over one set due to Federal Law not allowing over a certain amount of lumens at the front of the car. Apparently on those the cap can be removed revealing the second set of fog lights. You could try that with this raptor to see if the cap is removable.
The paddle shifters on my wife’s Honda Odyssey has direct response to each shift there’s no reason that raptor doesn’t have that
They are more for offroad use
