Another great video Hans! It’s great to see the moose numbers slowly coming back, especially to when we all first started hunting at the camp years ago. Good luck bear hunting, you’re probably on stand right now! Enjoy bud!

It is a beautiful world up there , although I have watched a bunch of videos from that area and it takes a special person to live up there , the numbers of bear and moose is enough to keep most humans away , not to mention the bugs , I think you will find that to deer hunt there that you must have the patience of job , we don’t have too many deer here where I live in NC but 20 to the square mile would be a lot compared to what you have there , if I had a place to hunt up there , I would spend all my time planting apple trees and the cold weather late varieties, and also clover , clover will come up real good in a cutover without doing any work , although you must inoculate the seeds and they are expensive. It is unbelievable how they work themselves in the ground and come up without any help.

Yeah I love it up here it’s a slower simpler life up here. Some really great people up here to. I plant my field up here to help the critters out I don’t hunt over it I love the call of the Big Woods. Nothing better than cutting a fresh track and taking it for miles takes you threw some amazing places and you never see another soul. You either love it or hate it. You have to be comfortable out in the woods far from your truck a few hrs before dark. The deer numbers are very low up here I would have a better chance getting a deer bow hunting the rut at home. But the allure of the North Maine Woods at deer camp in November is all I think about all year long. I’ve had many years not getting one up here when there isn’t any tracking snow. I look forward to the days when I can spend the whole season roaming the woods.
