www.lastepochtools.com/planner/A83bkr8o Heres what I've changed as of late. Some things like Idols arent filled out because I've been playing on other characters lately, but do still plan to revist this in the near future! To note the current standing issues, It still struggles a little bit with survivability around 200+ corruption, but is a bit safer now with flame rush. The build does struggle to clear maps because our DPS is way to targeted and has a long cooldown, so were experimenting with Ice wall specced fire for now.
@MZ-ki3ld no reason at all. Once you put the points into mana recovery and the 70% pen no other point matters as its damage is always going to be basically nothing. At some point I plan to experiment with fireball so they're here for now, if you wanna move the shrapnel points and those around feel free to! It won't hurt the build at all
This has to be one of the most helpful, realistic, and descriptive build videos I've seen so far. I really appreciate how you explain point distribution progressively, instead of just showing that you have all of your points allotted up to 100. I struggle to find guides to help craft TOWARDS a build instead of just somehow have all of the points and items available to make the build possible. I also love that you mention different tiers of items to use, so i'm not going in to this thinking "I can't possibly use this build because I don't have access to LP4 uniques yet"... instead I can build something that more or less works to start testing this out.
I'm glad to hear you like it, and i will say that this is definitely the idea I try to keep in mind when making these. I always want to approach these builds trying to make them work without having to invest hundreds of hours scouring for "BIS" gear.
Thanks for the fun build! I personally found using Fireball and the Cinder Song wand to give me better results than using Flame Reave, and also a bit more fun.
Glad to hear! I've actually dropped flame reave myself for ice wall specced into fire. www.lastepochtools.com/planner/A83bkr8o Heres what I've been running on it. If you wanted to see how I've adapted the build since posting, heres my current planner!
I was hoping there is some good build for blackhole. Over 1 million with that proc looks insane. I thought it was trash after trying to use it with the meteor skills. Thanks for the hint! Only think I'm sad about it that it doesn't pull enemies anymore.
Sorc damage is very high, but it always gets to a point where dps isn't enough and it gets overwhelmed in maps. Being great on bosses & dummies won't get you to 500 corruption. Finally shifted to RM and everything works better, even with much lower single target. Defense layers are all these, map clear is amazing, facetank bosses. The imbalance is real and I regret putting hours into sorc now. Sorc needs better defensive layers next season - Turret DPS as defence doesn't work in the real endgame - something more is needed - maybe mobility / dodge or an equivalent to smoke bomb on rogue. Anyways, thanks for the build and updates
Absolutely agree. This build is 100% limited by its defensive capability and partially restricted by its ability to effectively clear maps. This is something I've been working on behind the scenes though and will probably do an update to this build soon (spoiler alert... it's ward like always) though I'm not expecting it to get past 300 corruption even still
the damage is more than enough for 150-200 coruption. But the survivability of this build is something with something..... It is very difficult to play solo. The boss is killed in 3-10 sec, but the waves are very difficult to clean. Often there are oneshots, despite the fact that I have 1400hp, all res maxed, etc. Very lack of survivability in the build :( Shield at 800 does not help much, alas ....
@@MOTFGAMES There is way to solve issue but the problem with solving issue is that it destroy your damage output. there is a node in Flame rush called "Fire Eater: Whenever you pass through an ignited enemy, gain +24 ward+12*ignite stacks as ward". So with 500 stacks, 12*500 = 6000 ward. This leads me to believe that Sorc is wrong class for this build. You likely want to play spellblade instead. Put 40 points into Sorc, 40 points into spellblade and 5 points into runemaster. Run flame reaver, Enchant weapon, Elemental nova, Black hole, Flame rush as your skills. Flame reaver->Elemental nova will be your melee for trash mob and the default clear. Black hole is your boss killer. Flame rush is your ward generator. Enchant weapon will be the boss killer. The sorc of this build would likely be running Frost claw -> Elemental nova with black hole/Enchant blade/Flame rush but you would likely to solve the large mana issue.
But when flame rush consumes the ignite it wont deal damage, thats a pretty big loss to dps. I do think its strictly better than teleport though, so I did swap it out eventually for that.
Theres a unique helmet that gives nova more penetration per uncapped res, and like 6 points to it witch you can scale a lot more ignites with, might be interesting to try out.
I did just get a 2 lp crest, so I'll experiment with it over flame ward. If nothing else the damage reduction from ignited enemies will help with survivability!
Oh yea for sure, I was running an celestial conflux ignite build but I didn't know the elemental weapon/ignite stack interaction so I wanna try it with that cause I was getting over 1k ignite stacks on certain bosses or up to around 600 -800 on others, defo gonna be a dps boost for it.
I found a way to improve survivability. I went with Frost claws for clearing. Even with all the added casts putting it at 28 mana, i still maintain nearly capped mana. It adds around 6 ignites a hit (it can multi-hit for even more) for me, and i paired it with Flame Rush's "Fire Eater". So when my ward is low i just flame rush into mobs and get around 500-4000 ward. It does slow clears by a little, but it vastly improves my tankyness.
That's actually really interesting. We were considering crafting up the legendary nova helm and swaping reave for that to have the damage reduction modifier but large chunks of ward probably beats that out. Great find!

I have, but alot of updates have been made to the build. Over all I found that stacking int where you can and playing the low life set (Exsang + Last steps + Experimental gloves) helped fixed the builds survivability and let me push around 300 corruption with it, but the damage ends up not being enough to justify going anywhere past that. I think if I kept trying to push LP's higher, it could have reached further but I havent honestly touched the game in about 2 months. Maybe I'll visit it again once 1.1 comes out!
Yeah survivability has long been an issue this build needs to solve. Its a little bit better since I've swapped to flame rush for movement over teleport, and flame wall instead of reave, but I still feel like its weak for sure. Once I eventually get a well rolled 2-3 lp cinder song I'll re-vist it with fireball and update it if I feel like that solves a few of the builds major issues on mapping

I think the white slots should be used to hedge up weak points in the build, so put anything you need there to get as much defense as possible, same with idols. Also I cannot stress enough that none of this is tested by me, so invest at your own will. GL!
what does getting more than 100% ignite chance from heat wave do for you? From heat wave's skill description it also reads in the opposite ratio as you said, 1 to 10 as in 1% uncapped fire res gives you 10% ignite chance (which means 10% over 75 would already give 100% ignite chance?)
Status ailments dont stop at 100%, for each 100%, you deal 1 guaranteed stack of the ailment, and the rest is rolled as normal. So in the case that you have 1050% ignite chance because you have 180% fire resistance, you'll deal 10 ignite every second, with 50% to inflict 11. Hope this helps!

Dreadful even stated in his video about it that the clear was much better for Glyph of Dominion but the Black Hole edged it out for dps because of sorc's ignite duration. If you have actual info to the contrary, I wouldn't mind seeing it.
Finally, what metric are you using to say sorc "isn't viable". It's been demonstrated to clear everything until pretty high corruption and T4 bosses even with builds whose runemaster variants are direct upgrades.
@@MOTFGAMES all I was saying is it pales in comparison to runemaster sadly

I can't say I'm comfortable doing that as I have many things tied to that email, but I do have a discord server where you're free to contact me any time at :)
