It's amazing to think that the court of Weimar passed Bach over for Kappelmeister after a work like this. But..Lucky Leipzig.
Bach wasn't "passed over." The Weimar court already had a Kappelmeister and a vice Kapellmeister and was paying Bach as much or more than the Kapellmeister.

Très surpris par l'utilisation de deux traversos en lieu et place des flûtes à bec. Surpris aussi d'entendre le choral confié aux voix de soprano et non au jeu de sesquialtera de l'orgue. Quelqu'un a-t-il des sources à ce sujet?

La version de Leipzig (1737-1746) plutôt que de Weimar (1716)? www.vmii.org/bwv-161-komm-du-suesse-todesstunde. Je ne sais pas.

il y a un pb avec violon ou alto, trop grinçant, alors que ca doit etre coulant.

"La cantate est écrite pour une formation réduite. Deux solistes (alto, ténor) et un chœur en quatre parties, deux flûtes à bec, deux violons, alto et basse continue2. La disposition avec flûtes à bec est une réminiscence de l' Actus tragicus, BWV 106. De même que pour les cantates Alles, was von Gott geboren, BWV 80a et Barmherziges Herze der ewigen Liebe, BWV 185 de la même année, la mélodie du choral final utilisée comme cantus firmus dans le premier mouvement, une aria, est un élément structurant de l’œuvre. Bach reprendra la juxtaposition du cantus firmus et de la partie vocale à une plus grande échelle dans sa Passion selon saint Matthieu. Lors d'une représentation de la cantate à Leipzig, le premier verset du choral semble avoir été chanté par une soprano à la place de la citation instrumentale dans la première aria, la cantate transposée de do en mi bémol et les flûtes à bec peut-être remplacées par des flûtes traversières."
