In today’s video, I wanted to give you an initial review / first look and impressions of the minimal Koio Capri sneaker straight out of the box.
We’ll be taking a look at three colorways: triple white, stone, and fiore (pink).
While Koio makes other models, I’m focusing on the Capri because it’s a great addition to every guy’s wardrobe. It's a minimal luxury sneaker with a classic tennis silhouette that can be worn casually (jeans and a tee) and formally (suit, sport coat).

Great review, really like the stone color way. Do you think the stone is as versatile as the triple white?
I'd say Triple White > Stone / Mid Gray > everything else (in terms of versatility) ... but this Stone color is a really nice neutral, I could see myself swapping the whites out regularly for the stone color

Hi, can u please tell me how long your koio 42 is from heel to tip? My foot is 26 cm long.
The quality of the Koio Capri is exceptional. For a price point of $200-250 these cannot be beat. I also happen to own a pair of the Common Projects Achilles and without a doubt the Capri is just a good for less money. Although I will say if you want something a little less "chunky" you might be happier with the Achilles.
Yeah i feel the chunkiness is negligible... at least based off all the minimal sneaks I’ve come across (The Greats feel chunkier to me, and they don’t bother me at all)

@@edraldi I normally wear a 10.5 US. For CP's I wear a 42 and 43 in Koio's. I had ordered a 42 in Koio and they feet way too snug so I had to exchange for a size 43 and they fit perfect! If you have to exchange they have a really easy exchange process.
How kind are these shoes for 30 minute walks? My understanding is flat soles shoes with no cushioning (are they padded?) can stress the Achilles tendon
Hey! I really love the stone colourway but they don’t have it anymore. Do you think the nuvola is somewhat similar? Nuvola, bianco, mocha or perla? Are you aware of how often they release new colourways?
Nuvola is probs most similar to stone, and no im not aware unfortunately

I'm considering them over the Triple White, just to bring a touch of something different, however I want to be able to wear them with anything I'd wear all-white sneakers with!
That little strip of tan-ish suede is subtle enough, right?
Yeah! I love that little tan suede detail. totally still versatile, can wear with pretty much everything, etc.

i like the 1st and 2nd pair. not a fan of mixed leather (3rd piece), which ace marks does as well.
but it does have a super awesome silhouette, like CP Achilles. Greats are a bit bulkier, the silhouette isn't as nice in my opinion. cheers!
Yeah I agree the Koio has a bit slimmer of a silhouette compared to the Greats Royale, though I still love my Greats sneaks.

it's a light chambray long sleeve popover from J.Crew... I've had it for a number of years so they don't sell it anymore, but i'm sure someone else makes something similar
Do these cut the back of your heels? I always have that problem with leather sneakers.
I didn't have that experience w/ these. The leather on the inside of the heel is buttery smooth. In fact I didn't experience that with any of the higher-end brands I've tried (Oliver Cabell, Koio, Greats, etc.) Only felt that with the cheaper "leather" shoes like the Converse Chuck Taylors in leather

I feel ya. Any reason in particular? Having these IRL, the suede adds a nice aesthetic, though I guess the biggest worry would be keeping it clean.

I had a very bad experience unfortunately. I can not agree with the quality. After a moderate use, they are wearing out on shoe tongue. I was very surprised and disappointed. relatively cheap sneakers like Jim Ricky went well for at least 1 year without any wearing out! But in case of Koio in 7 months I can see the wear out. I also tried to reach customer care but no reply. My opinion would be not to buy!
