Homeschool is where it’s at. School today is crazy with the rush of everything! Also- just say no! No to all the activities and parties etc. kids needs boredom. Time at home. Time to hang with family. Time to do NOTHING
100% agree. Our boys are 22 and 17 and regret being "busy". Saying no is a beautiful thing. When they get older you'll regret being busy for these sport and activities.
Wholeheartedly agree. My five are homeschooled and it's a huge relief not being tied down to the school's schedule. They get through their school work quicker, are able to do most of their activities during the day and we have evenings to just be.
There needs to be a balance. Kids don’t need to be on the go constantly but they do need some activities. And not everyone can homeschool. I believe they work.

We have 1 kid and are still constantly busy. He does soccer, baseball, gymnastics, flag football, and this year is in a play, so rehearsal almost every night but he absolutely loves it! I try to keep it all on a calendar, so nothing surprises us and try to stay positive and calm so it's not overwhelming for him.
Also, I'm often cold when my husband is not, pretty sure it's my iron levels being too low
The girls knocked it out of the park with their singing. Our son sings all the Zombies songs all the time. (Can't blame him, they're catchy)
My Mom is Buddy the Elf. I’m the Grinch 100%. Now I have two daughters. One of each. Until December 1st I dont even want to hear the word Christmas. I even wait till Christmas Eve to shop because I hate the whole thing so much lol
Chris, I just love when y’all ask the kids about their day. And thank you for asking Tanner if he talked to the cafeteria people. I am a lunch lady (technically Child Nutrition Worker😉) My favorite thing about my job is talking to the kids. I would absolutely be watching the clock for Tanner’s class to come in for lunch. Talking is biggest reason theses kiddos don't finish their lunch. My kids also. But honestly my son flat said can you pack me less food. He said sandwich and fruit, plus a drink.

I love Tanners "to be honest" comment, so cute. Try having 2 kids move out around the same time and become adults with 1 being in the Army stationed in Japan! I know you enjoy your time, it goes by too fast. We have 1 baby left at home who is in 9th grade. 😭

We talk about this almost weekly! The kids schedules are so overwhelming. We ended up dropping 1 sport because we just couldn’t keep up. Sticking to 2 activities for now, which is still 5 nights a week 😮

I feel the same way. So rushed. I feel our kids are set up to expect that as adults. It’s why the pandemic made ppl quit their jobs , and more parents started to homeschool among other things. Quality time with family matters, and more ppl I think have realized that. It’s a hard balance though to find what works. We’re struggling too, but have cut back on some things to just slow down. As they say times truly a thief. 😢

My husband is military and is currently away for a month and I only have one child and I feel stretched thin or like there’s always something to do and that makes everything so rushed. Makes things difficult for sure.

Maybe rotate his toys/bones! Dogs like variety so diff shapes and colors/textures (I swear they're just like babies). I do that with my dog because otherwise he gets bored easily and won't play with his toys as much and I can't keep getting him new ones. My dog was left in a room alone while he was under the care of my ex's friends so he ate the blinds off the windows! I hate it because he has the worst separation anxiety and learned how to howl for attention.... and a Rottie howling at the top of his lungs is truly something else LOL
We only had the kids in 1 activity at a time. Summer was swimming and winter was skating. Kids need more being out in nature and exploring being kids. Adulting is hectic schedules. Why take away kids freedom to be a kid so soon since they grow up so fast
