Always important to have plenty these videos for 'starters'. 'Do enough to get it on the table' is good enough for anyone starting the hobby. And should be encouraged.
The pause thing is an important, often overlooked tip. Nice video even for older painter. I always exaggerate the number of layers and then never get finish. *sic*
Hi Alex, to help new people into the hobby your painting guides are great . Old man's moan but I certainly wish something similar had been available 40 odd years ago 🙄 I really like the way you emphasise that this is about getting the troops done to a tabletop standard and getting them ready to play with. I also like the way you've done the chapters so you can go to a particular part if you want to look again. Great work! All the best Andy
Really good work Alex, they look great. I just started on my own platoon of PSC paratroopers for my next CoC army. I think my color palette works OK, but yours for the smock camouflage looks better at a distance. I'll try it out and do some comparisons. Cheers and happy painting/gaming, thanks for another great video.
Nice job. Just one small point I would not use the Agrax wash on the base because it is going to be covered in PVA glue and flock and is a waste of Agrax.
Just got my 15mm paras in today. I have a German force ready and the paras will be next. I obtained a card model of Pegasus bridge, that along with some 15mm terrain pieces will enable me to play the Pegasus bridge scenarios from the Bolt Action D-Day Overlord campaign book! Can't wait!
great video Alex. You've inspired me to invest in 15/18mm figures. I have now got my Dutch at Quatre Bras force ready for painting and am looking to order some WWII American Airborne for Arnhem
Great work! Some really useful and important tips! The 3ft rule is a good one. I'm currently using it for my 2mm forces of Rohan. Keep up the good work!
Cool to see your take on this! They look ready to take Arnhem Bridge or get stopped at Wolfheze. I like to think my comment on the American Paratrooper video encouraged this (I know it didn't but I like to think so)

Thanks Andy, that's really nice and I appreciate the comments. Yeah, it may not have existed forty years ago, but we have Yotube now!
Nice, simple and straight forward. Good stuff.
Cheers Dex, glad you enjoyed the video!

Cheers Carl, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I hope it's useful for painting your own paras!

Cheers, I just do it as a point of habit in case some of the flock comes off. It's hardly a huge amount of Agrax anyway.

Thanks Richard, I am glad to hear it!

Cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed the video and found it useful. I employ the 3ft rule on everything I do. They are gaming pieces, not display pieces.

Cheers Aaron, there is a Wolfheze AAR video in the pipeline, so keep an eye out.
They look great Alex.😅 Simple and easy is always the best!🤗
Thanks Richard!
Just discovered your channel after your sub. Excellant content ! Look forward to exploring more...
Cheers buddy, I only just discovered your channel as well! That's why I subbed! Keep up the good work.
Nifty job.
Thanks!
I have a load of British paras in 15mm to do which I bought on an impulse. Who’d have thought that 😂😂
Good stuff!
I like your grass mix. It's a great mix of brown and green. What do you use?
Thank you, it's just Javis summer mix. Nothing special.
@@StormofSteelWargaming Oh, I just looked up Javis static grass. That looks much better than the Gale Force Nine stuff we get in the USA.
