The screech sound effect that accompanies is actually derived from a sample of a dentist's drill that Billie recorded while she was at a dental appointment. While it was digitally manipulated for the song, it still has that subliminal effect on the listener of cringe and discomfort. The sound literally puts your teeth on edge. If you listen closely to the lyrics, you can hear her kind of count down numbers. Her attention to detail is so incredible! I Love You clicked with me immediately.
