Regardless of your obvious resistance to sensible gun control, it is clear from the experience of other, similar societies, that reducing legal access to various types of firearms is effective in reducing gun deaths. Sharing a border with the one country with the most idiotic approach to gun ownership poses its own problems, but reducing access to guns meant only for killing people is a sensible step supported by the majority of Canadians.
