I personally think that the basic design if the accel skin works due to its crazy animation. I feel as though it might have looked really cluttered if the armor had crazy designs.
Easily the fallen accelerator mage accelerator used to be my favorite, but when they removed the purple crystals and kept re-using the same thing, I just got annoyed and it became one of my least favorite skins overtime
Mage accelerator max level used to be purple, that was one of the reasons it was my favorite Accel skin but since the rework it sadly became blue (doesn't look as good as before tbh)
