Mild, Medium Hot, or HOT curry? 🥵
Medium
Medium
Medium, HOT is good too though lol
Mild to Medium
Hot!
I literally have leftovers of this in my fridge. Golden curry and Vermont curry are my go to's. Only thing is it's a LOT of prep and standing but the end result is always worth it.
Okay but literally same. About to go get a midnight snack of curry 😅🍛
Get a slow cooker, brown the meat and sweat the onions, chop your veg and Chuck it all in with the chopped curry 🍛 block and some hot water, cook on high for 45 minutes to an hour
Vermont Apple and Honey Curry is deadass the BEST Curry I've ever had we always have blocks of it in my house😅
I would say it's the same prep as for other meals? Chop up some veg (I usually go carrots, onions and pumpkin/potato), dIce some tofu or fry a schnitzel, mayb add some other spices, boil rice and voila
@@Jessica-wn6xn pumpkin 🎃, I've never actually tried pumpkin, wouldn't think to add it to curry. I'm going to give that a go, last time I made it, I had onions, carrot and potato, wanted to make it a bit more exciting for next time 😀
Oh yeah, golden curry is great. I personally like adding lots of veggies and keeping them chunky, but my sister likes as few as possible and chopped so small that you don't even know they're there. I kinda wanna try making curry from scratch. It doesn't seem that difficult and I really enjoy making slow-cooked meals sometimes.
Not even Japanese make it from scratch because it's always better from the blocks
@@scholasticbookfair. Yeah, I know. But I never tried it from scratch and there's nowhere I can try it unless I make it myself. I'm just really curious and I love to cook anyway so at the very least I'll relax making it. 😊
@@codsamanta where do you live
@@scholasticbookfair. I live in Romania. Asian food in general is not as popular here (and it can be very expensive).
@@codsamanta Hmm have you tried Amazon? They sell the cubes on there.
Last time I made curry, I made easy curry buns which was basically just filling biscuit dough with curry. It was so delicious and pretty easy. Curry is my go-to feel good meal.
that sounds so good
I’ve always wanted to try curry buns. I remember watching Black Butler, an anime, and they showed curry buns and it looked absolutely delicious.
This is DELICIOUS! I highly recommend it. I’ve made it on my channel a few times. 😄
I went to check out your channel and I've subscribed, looks like fun 🙂
Nice seeing u here buddy been a sub from ur starting days 😭😭
I always make curry. In Japan, every kid definitely knows how to make curry because of home eco class and really, their parents teach them. It’s such a nice dish! I always make them even though I move to Thailand and England. My mum loves it, and my dad too! Try adding omlette to it, it’s really good~ Also, you can kind of blend the curry, it’d add more ‘texture’ to it, from what I’ve heard.
Omelette
I love Japanese curry!!! I use the same brand :)
This looks absolutely amazing and gyoza are so good with curry as well
One thing I LOVE is swapping out the water in the curry recipe on the box for a can of coconut milk it’s sssoooo good!
Woaaaahhh... it would be very mild, rich, sweet, and super creamy!
I almost did this for my current batch of curry, but chickened out. Good to know, for a super-calorific comfort food bonanza
katsukare is one of my “signature” dishes, my grandmom even says i make curry better than our local japanese restaurant 😜 i use golden curry too, but i was recently recommended vermont so next time ill try that!
MY FAMILY LITERALLY HAD THIS THE OTHER DAY (but not homemade) IT LOOKS SO GOOD
My mom got us hooked on this stuff when she was really tired from working bc it makes such good leftovers. So cool seeing it pop up here!
Japanese curry and gyoza are my favorite foods. However, I am very particular. While any curry is better than no curry, Kokumaro curry med hot is by far the best curry in my opinion. I had hot pepper flakes to my curry and it's so delicious that I'm salivating as we speak.
All the Japanese students who lived with us loved Kokumaro curry the most and where I was in Japan, Kokumaro curry was the favorite. TRY IT!
Nice transition!!! Almost couldn’t tell it was a loop! Great job!!! ❤️❤️
we used to sell those curry bars at the import store i worked at, the golden boxes always looks so cool and i often wondered what it was since i couldnt read the japanese
It's crazy how good those curry blocks are! Absolutely love them 🤩💕💕
My moms been doing this for years!!! It’s so good. It’s perfect for when I have IBS attacks.
I love your vids!!!😻😻😻
Literally this is my FAVORITE dish growing up and has been for all my life! Golden curry with white rice, carrots, potatoes, and a protein is amazing!! Plus add some Tabasco if you love spice, it’s my comfort food!!
Its amazing even if its a food I either don't care for or don't care to try, jeanelle ALWAYS makes EVERYTHING sound freaking delicious!!! Thanks, girl!
this dish gets so well recieved by everyone
When she said chop chop the first thing in my mind was the lyrics that go CHAW CHAW REAL SMOOTH it sound like chop chop 😂
The “simmer down” hat thooo
I have a Japanese curry addiction. It's really easy to make and filling
This sounds amazing!!!
My cold day go to fave is vegetable korma from this great local Indian restaurant called Bombay Palace in Nashville. So good!
I haven’t tried to make it yet, but do want to sometime.
Indian food is awesome! There are Indian restaurants and takeaways everywhere here in the UK and they have some of the best vegetarian food ever. I also really like trying all the different kinds of bread they make in each region, every region of India has different kind of curry and their own kind of flatbread.
This curry is the one of those that I have to eat almost always while staying at my aunts but it never gets old
My family actually eats this a lot and I agree it’s soo good especially when you have a couple of pickles on the side
Japanese curry is actually a good summer food because of the spice. But delicious year round too!
Impressive presentation, Jeanell
👍
Looks so wonderful! Happy to be in your team!
Thanks for visiting, much appreciated 💯
Keep up the great work Friend!
Have a pleasant evening 🥰
My mom has always used those curry blocks over shredded chicken, which we had with rice and other toppings. So good!
Ngl a piece and curry sounds bangin
I would always eat this in Japan. My mom made it all the time too and it's really easy to make.
It’s finals week, and I made a big pot of Japanese curry to get me through the week 😂 you gotta do what you gotta do
I've been using those curry blocks for years and spicy does it for me!!!
mmmm looks so good!
This just popped up today lol. I miss this time when we all cooked and ate together!
Looks
Deliciously 😋
Appetizing
Get to try it
SOON
This was my go to in college, especially in the cold lake Ontario winters 👍
Another good quick curry hack if you want it to dissolve fast is to put it in your ladle and to put the ladle slightly below the surface of broth, then take your chopsticks or fork and scrape and stir at the curry block in the ladle until it’s broken up completely, then just stir it in!
CAN CONFIRM THIS SHIT IS AMAZING
fr tho i wouldnt call it shit lmao
Been using Golden Curry for at least 40 years. Chicken or lamb, onions, potatoes (white or sweer). Addictive.
This looks sooooooo good! Curry is one of my fav foods!
Hot curry for sure ❤️🤤 this is literally my cure all for a bad day. I can't not smile and do a little dance when I have it. Gets rid of my sadness 😌
That looks really good
Those curry blocks are the best . Also good smothered over chicken schnitzel .
The golden curry is so good!!
Japanese curry look so good
my mums currently making curry and my mums curry is DAAAA BEESSSSSSSST.
I never thought of chopping up the blocks before but that’s such a simple and perfect idea, that’ll save me more time once I’m back at school
That looks so much like a type of chicken I have in Colombia constantly. So much that I can literally taste it seeing it
I’m going to look up a recipe! Thanks for introducing it!
After watching this yesterday, I went to the store and made this last night and made it with the dumplings 😋
Looks so yummy!
I'm a fan of the Vermont medium hot box. I use large chunks of vegetables (carrots, bell pepper, potato, onion, and a celery rib) I use thinly sliced meat or garbanzo beans. I serve it with couscous or rice. Lol depends on my mood. I also add a teaspoon of extra curry powder and some gochujang to round out some flavors. Sometimes I'll add a spoonful of catsup or some shredded apple to make it extra good.
Omg I love curry. Can’t cook a ton, but curry is just easy and u can make it vary a lot. It’s nice to use up leftovers. Like u can add coconut milk and shrimp to make a creamier coconut shrimp curry. Fry up leftover chicken breast in panko bread crumbs for chicken katsu curry and all u need are potatos, garlic, onion, carrot, chicken powder, curry cubes or powder ,a little oil for frying , and protein.
Soup bowls (like the flat ones) are what my mum always served them in. This and Ramen are the definition of Japanese comfort food
That looks sooo yummy 😋!
It's summer here, but I still want to try this dish.
I found some glico curry cubes at my local grocery store and I'm so excited to make some Japanese curry very soon.
I just finished making Japanese curry for this week's meals. I like to add yogurt, ketchup, oyster sauce, and something sweet like jam to make the curry taste even better!
I like the mild one! Its so delicious
I made this yesterday! It’s so easy to make
girlllll this looks so good 😒😩
I do the golden curry in extra hot. I add red pepper flakes and chili powder for extra heat. It's super delicious. I make it perfect every time 💞
Vermont curry is the best IMO. You can also mix medium hot and mild, or hot and mild to modify the spice level.
My brother said the chef at the bar where he worked would add a bar of dark chocolate in addition to the curry blocks, which made it thicker and enriched the flavour. Never tried to make it that way myself though, in case I get it wrong.
sounds like mole
Golden curry is SOOOOOO GOOD!
My favorite curry. I used potatoes and lots of white onions chopped not sliced (more crunch and aroma when chopped onions).
My family's favorite meal!
I always add heady creme to my curry it makes it super thick and so good
Im gonna make homemade gyoza filled with shrimps today and for next weekend I’m gonna make Japanese curry. I’m not Japanese myself but I love Japanese cuisine so much!
Oh man. I’ve been looking for good curry, thanks!!!
Japanese curry heavy thick gravy i have never had this badboy.
I have this all the time, it tastes amazing 🤤
A mix of the curry brands is even yummier! Recommend adding something subtly sweet i.e. jammy apple slices.
Oh my lord this is so good my parnt# make this every winter this is so yum
That's looks so good, I don't know why but seeing curry on a plate really wigs me out, am the only one?
I just had Golden Curry last night and it was soooo tasty!!!
I absolutely love curry 💜
I just made this yesterday it was so good
I haven't tried japanese curry but im craving it so bad
Imma make this tomorrow. I bought the Japanese curry cubes ages ago, but keep forgetting they're there. This looks so good 😍
Japanese curry is so freakin delicious. Even my Japanese friends use golden curry brand everytime.
I made this, and instead of putting over rice like curry, I put it over chunky mashed potatoes like gravy. I minced the veggies super small and used sliced mushies instead of meat. Gonna try it over udon next.
My all time favorite❣️
i literally have leftover golden curry in my fridge right now from doing low effort friendsgiving last night 😭 it’s such a comforting meal and everybody loved it
Ahhh the nostalgia.. 🤤
Yeah golden is my go to brand.. Its so easy to make. I like to grate up half a green apple and put it in.
I make this all the time I love it
i love phillip’s hat!!! 🤣❤️
Looks yummy
My childhood food
I always have Japanese curry blocks in my cupboard! Don’t forget the pickled ginger on top 😋
We had this last night!! 😄
It's been my favorite growing up. My mom never liked cooking so this was easy for me to make for my family. The leftovers are yummy in udon with sunny side up eggs!! Mmmmmmm...
My dad used to make this all the time, reminds me of my childhood 😄
That looks so good I'm starving-
It's so good but if you've never made it before be sure to be careful about how much water you put in because my friend can make it perfectly but I put too much water in it when I made it so def be careful about it.
S&B is the best! Also, if you have a variation of preferences to cater to, make a medium or hot curry, move the portions who can't stand the heat into a different pot and and some milk, stir and serve. For added depth, you could also add a ground apple or honey in there 😊
love how ur “chop chop” matched with two things - that if you’re in a rush then be faster, also like chop the bar.
I love making this! Especially the Vermont Medium with Apple. I made once with Apple Slices in it and it was delicious! You are right, it is a lazy dish. Just 3 basic ingredients and you are done :)
Do you have a recipe
Idk Doug but id give my life for his smile-
