      agree 100%.. I used to powerlift and rep over 700 on deadlifts... years later I got smarter 😀 and realized they really are not good for your body... fortunately I didnt injure myself

    The issue is most people have no clue how to move their body through space. They just aren’t athletic enough or in tune with their own bodies. Most people can’t even get into these positions because their bodies just simply aren’t ready. Too stiff. They just don’t get it.

    I wish I knew that years ago.
    Anyway thanks Mike...following your videos changed the way I train and got better results...not bad for a 51 year old guy and 5 feet 7 inches.

    My arms grew so much listening to mike finding tension point and curling correctly.

    This is great. Imma try this shit tomorrow. I’ve been doing more arms lately but feel it in my elbow cause I’ve been locking that down instead of my body

    I always thought the conventional deadlift was a glute and hamstring movement

    • @SuperSCARLET1987
      @SuperSCARLET1987 3 місяці тому +1

      Rdl's and SLD are, the conventional also hammers it but involves al lot of back to

      They aren’t wrong. The issue is, if muscle building is the intention, it doesn’t put any one muscle under tension or stretch long enough to illicit much growth at all

    Don’t need to be insane with training deadlift but everyone should be able to deadlift properly and train it once in a while, just for slowing down aging and keep your posterior chain strong. 6:02 Or like exercise ‘RDL’ or whatever

    • @K_j_M
      @K_j_M 3 місяці тому +4

      It doesn't slow down aging though. That's a complete myth

    • @glenoh88
      @glenoh88 3 місяці тому +3

      lol..think a little. This crap about slowing down aging. Age is a measure of time, only way to change it is time travel. You can live longer but you cannot get younger or slow down aging.

    • @lots3799
      @lots3799 3 місяці тому +1

      I'll still use my open trap bar for deadlifts3X a week.

    • @glenoh88
      @glenoh88 3 місяці тому +1

      You can’t slow down aging. It’s time based so everyone ages the same. You can live longer and be healthier and feel/look younger but age by definition is measured by time. Time travel could change that but it hasn’t happened yet

    I’ve always said a squat is a leg exercise. I don’t know why people ever considered it a back movement especially since your back is engaged the whole time for stability.

      It doesn't if you're not doing the movement right.
