One of the most important mistakes to avoid when swinging a macebell is described in this video. There are a lot of things that go wrong when people start with the mace. One of the most common one is done by people that are used to training with weights, since they have a tendency to tense up and keep that tension. I found that there is Yin Yang to Kettlebell and Steel Mace. A balance of tension and relaxation. This seems to be where the endurance comes from. I really see my mace more as martial art than weight training.

With no other tool proper technique makes the weight feel lighter than mace. It's such a unique tool.

I have a question about double mace work.
Do you recon that both maces should have the same weight??
I'm considering buying some maces. These are some amazing workouts with doubles online, which i would like to try. My issue is if maces should have uniform weight whan doing double workouts witb them or if it doesn't matter when they have a little different weight( like 5 and 10 for example)
Hey man, yes get the same weight. Swinging two maces is great, but also very difficult. I do have a dual wield series that is part of the online course the mace masterclass series, if you'd ever want to dive real deep into that. Enjoy the double swings!
