Great coverage of a Great personality. . . .loved listening to the interview as I too am from army background and lucky and proud to be connected to APARNA as a friend.🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
Please make a video on the mess culture. These points are really an eye-opener: "Roti from the left", "Stop the meals according to the signals", "Why do they play the bands", "Seating plan"...Amazing! Thank you so much :)
@@lipsbysneha181 Thanks for your response. I'm also going to be an Army wife soon. The thing that's bothering me the most is the party culture, which means, I need to shop for a lot of party dresses. I'm so confused, should I only collect sarees and suits, or do we also have a western dress code for ladies? Can you please suggest how many sarees, suits and western dresses should one have depending upon your experience? I'm soo damn stressed. Wffff!!! 😥🫶
I can totally understand this. As another army sister I'll suggest you what I wish people had suggested me. Please don't go overboard with shopping since no matter how much I tell you right now or anybody else tells you, eventually 1. you will understand the mess culture better 2. At every damn station you'll end up buying loads 😝 3. Westerns are also needed but usually the most decent of dresses should be bought since there are ORs (other ranks) present. For the onset you can buy formal Sarees - silk and cotton with borders, for the mess functions, formal kurta suits with dupattas (avoid bling as much possible) go for classy silks, khadis and cottons. Avoid too many sleevless or strappy blouses... Infact personal suggestion, buy decent tops that can act as blouses otherwise there's no end. However get basic colours in blouse as well. Specially for silks, make it's own matching blouse. Buy a few chiffons n georgettes for day functions in peppy colors and flowery prints, satin n organza can be one each in your wardrobe for the beginning... Yet again.... Plz don't buy loads... Buy state specialities wherever you are posted and our AWWA shops usually have amazing army type saree collections from all states at reasonable prices near canteens ... For more details or confusions... U can DM me on my insta - coachsnehasingh... And yess.... Welcome to the family... Hugs!! 🤗
Ma'am this podcast was truly inspiring and an eye opener to the reality of an army wife .... I always wanted to join army or atleast be an army wife... I am so much attached to army I feel as if I am the part of army.... As both of you officers wife were talking i felt I am also a part of it as an army wife! Would like to make army as my reality one day ! Lots of love for the Army❤
Hope this grows on to become a monthly series. The content crowd is anyway growing for the personal life experiences of the officers. It should too for such women who make their families. And it would be wonderful to include the wives from the para forces as well.
Yes I noticed that recently. Also I've been planning to cover Para too. Please recommend if anybody known stays in MHOW or Indore, through the e-mail attached. Thank you !!
I would like to learn more from you about the etiquettes and the discipline and the lifestyle and everything that a girl needs to be prepared for herself being a part of the army. Can you please make a vedio or any learning sessions related to that?
It's a really amazing elaboration on Army life !! Thank you so much for giving us such a beautiful perspective... But what's the meaning of the UA-cam channel name of yours that is LIPS? I'm just curious about it. And I want to know more about army and army wives' life experiences...😊😊
Thank you so much for the applause Also, I'm glad someone asked this on YT. Full form of LIPS is *Lifestyle, Image, Personality, Skill*. It's gonna be India's first premium residential school for transformation. You can know more on my insta profile - Coachsnehasingh. I run a "Woman ki baat" there as well - my 90 second special for women's personal questions there as well, besides the small interesting snippets of all the shows we've covered till now.
Thank you for providing this insightful information. I've always thought about the mess culture, but never got an answer even on quora. Today, I've got to know that Army wives can also enjoy their meals in the mess. So, how frequently does this occur? Also, I understand that gradually, every girl has to learn cooking, but initially will she get any help from the mess and other Army wives
If one doesn't like to cook we're usually provided with servant quarters where one easily gets trained and experienced maids and help that cooks well. They're well aware of the fauj timings & dinner parties hence there are many friends of mine who don't cook from ages but have been managing well
However mess is usually there everywhere but due to the dress code and hassles of going everyday apart from a few courses (where wives are allowed) and the battalion sunday brunches & mess events (which are frequent). Women like to dine at home
Very useful insight by the lady about keeping oneself happy. Just one thing did she believe in the pillow fight?! 🤔 Kids, grandparents with their grandchilden & even newlyweds play pillow fights but grownup adult men in army play pillow fights?! Did you check? & Since when in India pillows were filled with feathers? Our country grows lots of cotton & we even have recron & foam pillows. Just dont believe everything men say!🙄😏. Your comment section is also more interesting. The entire interview was lije as if I was also there listening, so very interesting & felt inclusive. Thank both of you. ,🙏.
Hello dear girl. Sure that's a significant suggestion. I'll try covering the same for sure. However only options (if you want to maintain your presence at home with him on all postings) are either WFH or doing B.Ed & teaching in Army or pvt schools wherever you're posted. Actually you can start your online / e commerce business, counseling, teaching online or Content writing/ social media manager. Read Reddit & talk to a career consultant for more suggestions. First find out what kind of work satisfies you the most & would be sustainable in the longer run. Plz follow my Insta coachsnehasingh for more. DM me there if you wanna ask anything else... Happy to help 😊
I m an army gf... Ur episodes give me soo much insights of army and i love it.. please continue to make such episodes
