- OUR SECOND CRUISE ON P&O IONA , THIS TIME HOPEFULLY TO FIND SOME SUN AND WARMTH .THIS FIRST VIDEO CONCENTRATES ON OUR EMBARKATION AND OUR VISIT TO THE SINDUH RESTAURANT.

HI Guys , looks like you are seasoned cruisers so doubt if there is much we can tell you. Our cabin was great in an ideal position .We went to both Sindhu and the Epicurean , I personally preferred the Epicurean its bit more of an occasion sort of Restaurant . Morning A&J , that’s exciting to be on Iona in November good to have something to look forward to in the winter. She is a big ship but you will soon find your way about. Crows Nest is a really nice popular bar , but please never ever follow any of Pearls directions on how to get somewhere 🤣😂. Have a lovely Bank Holiday Xx❤️❤️
I got off Iona this morning after a week to the Norwegian Fjords. I'm still swaying as If I am on the ship LOL so not sure if watching this video is a good idea whilst I am trying to find my equilibrium! So funny watching all the areas I know well now, as opposed to watching your previous videos to see what it would be like. I was in Gran Canaria the week before so really looking forward to seeing you explore the Canary Islands. You are such a lovely couple, who I only discovered recently, and I hope you had a fantastic holiday x

Hi Pearl and Brian we love watching your videos and we have a few cruises booked and we fancy doing a few videos on you tube like you have.Could you advice on what camera you use and any other advice would be great.We are on Azura next Thursday and would like to add content to you tube from thid cruise
Hi Pat , thank you very much for watching our vlogs . I use a number of cameras a Sony zv1 and a DJI pocket pro , and my I phone.
You can get some good results using your phone. When filming on the ship I tend to use the DJI camera as it’s small and a bit more discrete. One thing I would definitely recommend is microphones. People will put up with a bit of poor quality in filming but if they can’t hear then they tend to turn off . We found that out very quickly. Hope this helps, have a great cruise on Azura .Nearly forgot I use an editing software called VN . I use their free version.
We boarded the Iona on the 1st April for the Northern Europe. I guess you disembarked the same day?

Can I ask where did you park?
We used CPS which are one of the official cruise car park firms in Southampton. You pull up opposite the ship take out your luggage, hand the keys to one of the CPS people who park your car for you . You are then given a key receipt that you keep with you . On return you are directed to the car park exchange your receipt for your key and away you go . Works very well . I would normally book about 6 months before the cruise just to be sure .Hope this helps
What do you guys do for your day jobs when not vlogging?
Hi Michael, first of all thanks for watching and commenting really appreciate it . We are both retired now , I was an HGV driver for Fords for 42 years , and Pearl was an Assistant Cook in a local school .
