I paint in oils and acrylics depending on the subject so I have learned, If you place a larger empty card board box that have the top flaps removed and flip it over upside down you can place it on your wet painting while waiting for the varnish to dry just make sure it's wider and longer then your canvas, it will help keep insects, pet hair, little hands, dust, lent, etc..... From dropping onto your art that you worked so hard on, Only to have it all messed up by a horse fly dryed sideways to the middle of it!** Gawh ** yes it happened to one of my paintings I was so pissed off, I had left a window cracked open.
I have a painting that as some elevation to the main subject of the painting, would this technique still work for it? since I'm not sure if I should start this technique with the elevated portions of the canvas and then work to the background, or start with background first?
This is exactly what I needed! I just purchased the same liquitex satin 😀
Gorgeous! Thank you

THanks that was so helpful! I need to buy a varnish brush, what kind did you us?
Also, is it good to use a stick sponge to apply varnsh
Is a varnish that says water based bad for an acrylic painting?
Do you use isolation coat?
Do you use a dry brush
Usually wet, but I make sure to squeeze out all excess water with a towel (one that won't get fibers into the varnish).
nice review but too much intro sorry 😊
Thanks - I think I'm getting better these days... :)
