So annoying when the bride says she doesn’t like illusion dresses and the first dress they give her is an illusion one 😂😂
I came for comments like this just when she picked out the dress
dramaaa!
No consultants do that to make sure they're positive about what they want
Why put extra stress on a bride lmao
Sophie Cooke totally agree! That would infuriate me.
“I don’t like an illusion back”
“I have the perfect dress for her!”*picks out a dress with a full illusion back and neckline*
Well at least they gave it a go 🤷🏻♀️
I feel like they do that on purpose lol
i went for dress shopping and the bought out everything i didn't want
They were re-checking if she's sure or not
So disrepectful
Girl if I was spending anything over $50, I’m going to try on the whole damn shop

I hate illusion as well, its like a layer of skin thats just peeling off
Tegan Yates Honeslty from far away, it looks great. Like it does what it’s suppose to do, give you an “illusion.” But I wouldn’t be able to stand seeing it up close because the mesh always has a weird neckline. Or if it’s not fitted properly (to me, I’d want it tight to the skin) it dangles off of you (as you said) like skin. A friend of mine got married about two years ago and she also chose an illusion dress. The photos from the wedding look STUNNING but in all the close ups, the mesh neckline made the upper part of the dress look so weird. It cut right below her neck, while the actually neckline of the dress plunged. And the sleeves were pretty big on her (hers was a long sleeve) and her complexion is much darker than the white mesh of the sleeve. From far away, you can’t really tell, but up close, you can see how the mesh looks like some strange piece of skin peeling off of her. Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of illusion. I just might have yet to see a dress that can pull it off.
I literally thought I was the only one who thought the mesh thing (illusion ) is really ugly
Same!! I’m more on with illusion v necks, but literally anything else is so ugly
I hate it too, and too dark on me
@Tina Yael Severinovna M. same i love it on sheerish fabrics. Hate it on skin colored mesh. Bleh
Say "illusion" one more time and I will slap the heck out of the first person I see today!

Why is everyone so mad at the consultant? She did exactly what her job was. They always bring out a dress with some of the things they dont like to make sure the bride is sold on the idea of not liking that thing. And this consultant did just that. And it was very obvious that the bride absolutely loved that first dress except for that one bit, so the consultant brought in someone who could fix it. The bride was obviously happy with that because she said yes to the dress, so in the end the consultant did the right thing.
Very true
Right!
especially when it's their first time trying on dresses AND it checked all of the other boxes!
When u specifically say " no illusion" and the first dress she pulls out is exactly the opposite? She should have gone the other way round, first put her in the one that ticked all the boxes, then when bride sees thats its not wow, produce the illusion one. And for the love of God, are those the only two dresses available?
I bet you money the bride regretted her choice. She was being pressured at this point. She explicitly said no illusion and everyone pressured her into getting it. This is not okay. The consultant should have found smth the bride wouldnt regret buying afterwards. I personally hate the illusion too. It's uncomfortable. There are plenty of dresses that dont have an illusion, and she only gave the bride two options. She didnt do her job well. She was being lazy.
Take a shot every time the word “illusion” is said 😂

At last, they picked a dress that fits in with her budget.
Karl Anore I’m so happy they found one :)
Her budget was so low that’s why she didn’t really like any of them all the dresses that were below her budget we’re really cheap

@@audreychan8940 £3000 is more than enough for an absolutely stunning dress...
I love how open minded this bride was and how adorably polite she was too! She was just very very nice!
Lol
It actually looked to me like she got coerced into pushing forward with a dress she wasn't 100% sure about. Even her body language was very telling the way she said yes with her head tilted to the side and a barely-there, one-time soft clap. It's a tell that she is reluctant, unsure, and under pressure. Body language doesn't lie. Imagine your aunt is adamant about the dress, the consultant is adamant about the dress, and then the designer of the dress comes out of nowhere to tell you what you don't like can be changed. It seemed her excuse about the material was her getaway card and everyone painted her into a corner anyway. They should have kept trying on dresses bc she was pretty clear that she wanted to move on from the dress. At the end she seemed more convinced and swayed rather than genuinely happy about the dress of her dreams.
Your being sarcastic right?
This is going to come off as a bit harsh, but honestly when you have a good figure, everythingggggg looks good😍👏🙈🙊
Jellybean xoxo I agree. She does have a nice figure to model dresses. Not basing it on just how petite she is, but she just has this poise to her that would make any dress she wears look nice on her
Yeah I agree
How is that "harsh"?
Agree, I'm surprised she felt disappointed by the 2nd dress. She looks gorgeous in it
Even is you're smaller or have a great figure, you can still have opinions on what she likes and doesn't. Yeah the second one looked fantastic on her but it wasn't her vision and didn't make her FEEL beautiful.

The same, just switching nylon tulle to silk tulle.
Her budget is pretty high and I'm pretty disappointed that she's only trying 2 dresses.. Can't Sue find her other options? 😕
It is likely she had already tried on other dresses/was shown other options that she may have declined. And Sue probably noticed how she lit up after trying the first one. If she was able to get her to say yes more quickly instead of making her more distressed as the fitting was going (as you can see she was already getting aggravated after trying on the second one), then it was for the better to bring in someone who could alter the first one to make it perfect for her, since she already loved it.
They only SHOW her trying on two dresses. These so-called reality shows are still very scripted and edited.
Well compared to the american counterpart this budget is pretty low. Especially in high end store where they sell designer dresses. These aren’t just dresses you order off wish.
@@jonnamustonen6751 The budget isn't low compared to the US show since dresses in the UK are no wear near as expensive.
@@jonnamustonen6751 It's in Pounds not USD.
Out of whole salon full of gowns, they gave her only two to try on 😧
Nikolina Lovrić when you find the dress that makes you look and feel good, all the other dresses never compare.
No, they only SHOW her trying on two gowns. She could have tried out 100 gowns, but they edited all of that out for the show. These “reality shows“ are still very scripted and edited.
Also keep in mind that a good chunk will be likely far out of her budget.
Nikolina Lovrić This is probably cut down to a shorter video, she may have tried on and looked at other dresses during the appointment.
@@Ezster69 You are one of those few people who know what she wants. If I were to try 100 dresses, I would change my mind 20 times.
Why don't they're just cut the illusion neckline off?
Oh
Without the illusion those strands of lace going up will fall down. It's the illusion that is holding up the lace.
@@briannaleora No, but use the embroidery and net as just straps that go towards the back like in the dress 2
@@hassaantauseef5426 The problem with the second dress in my opinion is that it was loose around the stomach. You could see she didn't like that holding the stomach part of the dress and all. It's because it's backless so nothing is making the dress fit tightly around the stomach. It would be a shame with her flat tummy if it doesn't fit tightly
No why didn't they cut the illusion close to the embroidery and hem it thus keeping the structure while getting rid of the illusion as much as they could
It's supporting all the lace on the bodice. Without something--illusion, or silk, as the seamstress suggested--there would be nothing to hold up the lace, and the bride would be naked from the waist up.

"Sure you do!"
"It itches and irritates my skin."
"Nah, that can't be!"
"I don't feel comfortable in this dress and I'm not gonna wear it."
"You'll come back to it."
As someone with a sensory processing disorder, I would lose it. Wouldn't even put it on if that were given to me. Even if this bride DOESN'T have a sensory processing disorder, people need to listen when other people say 'I feel uncomfortable'. That's not the kind of thing that should be so readily dismissed. You wouldn't want anyone to do that to YOU, so why would you do that to someone else?
Agreed. I don't have sensory issues, but my skin can sometimes be sensitive to certain textures. I'd be breaking out in a rash by the end of my wedding day with that mesh. Hopefully the designer can change the fabric that will present both a bearable and workable solution for the bride because it is a stunning dress on her.
@@lilyamiia3436 Spectrum, fam. Every kind of experience happens on a spectrum. How happy someone is, how sad, how angry, how scared, how uncomfortable... Just because your sensory processing isn't exactly like mine doesn't mean I don't experience what I do. I mean it when I say I wouldn't even try on fabric like that. Besides, I did mention that the bride likely doesn't have a sensory processing disorder. Bad fabric is bad fabric, and even ordinary people can tell. Designer should've made sure the product was made with better quality materials, especially for that price point.
the bride is so pretty and lovely figure!
Why is no one talking about the fact this dress style would be IMPOSSIBLE without an illusion neckline ?!?
:)))))))) An illusion back is not possible without an illusion front.
Exactly what I am thinking, everything would just fall apart.
Those thin laces wont hold it without that illusion neckline
it will still be illusion, just made of silk mesh not tulle
Apparently they are going to fix it
I really didn't like how the consultant sounded so offended when they told her that they didn't like the 2nd dress. I felt bad of not liking it as well.
I don't think she was offended but more like shocked because the dress had everything the client asked for,no bad parts at all and she completely disliked it within a secomd of looking at it
@@jos-josradvanji6203 it def didn't look as good as the other one... I agreed with her, something about the way the top fit wasn't right. The boobs were too low and too big on her. It gave a droopy effect.

Or even a veil.
Exaclty. They can sell potato sacks as dresses. All they have to add a veil so that everybody will tear up and the potato sack will be sold as a dress.
I hate when they push brides into dresses they don't want. This dress is beautiful and in the price range, but she specifically said that she hates illusion - and the FIRST dress she is press to try on is an illusion dress! And this consultant's fake astonishment, when the bride didn't like the second one, which was obviously not fitted and looked bad on her - "really, no? but it check all the boxes! oh, i guess it's this one or the illusion one then, no more to choose from!". Idk, the UK version of SYTTD is really visibly fake, like they don't even try to pretend and build an illusion ( ;) ) of taking bride's likings into consideration. I know all this format is fake, but the US, Atlanta and Canada versions do it beter...
itrilien That was to ensure the bride knew she didn’t want an illusion neckline and to check if that was a deal breaker or actually just something they don’t think would look good on them because of insecurities. It’s a common method for bridal consultants and is extremely useful for brides to work out what they actually want.
they do it for the money, my mum was a wedding dress consultant and quit because everyone would lie to their customers about the dress looking nice etc just to get a quick buck
@@nergal7236 Her budget was 3000bucks. She got a dress for half the budget (excluding the changing stuff). If they would have made a "quick buck" why would they cut down her budget by half the price when a higher price often means nicer designs? Your comment makes absolutely no sense here. Crissy is absolutely right, some people just think it will be in no way their style, while it actually is.
@@ErenaaLamb im talking about the industry in general

Why didn’t she put her in a third dress! She was basically forced to like it !!
There are other dresses with the style she has in mind you know !
The illusion honestly looks amazing on her but it’s nothing someone can’t easily fix. She would have been better off getting a dress custom made
When the bride said the dress she loved was itchy. I just realised how very smart my mother really was. She was happy to be a great wife and mother, though she could of been rocket scientist if she wanted to. I realise she taught me so many useful tricks. To stop a wool sweater from itching she told me to wear a tee shirt underneath. She also said it is much cheaper to wash a tee shirt then dry clean a sweater. To stop the itchiness on a see though illusion outfit, or anything I could not wear a tee shirt under, dust some baby powder and corn starch on your body and bring a tiny travel size powder bottle with you in your purse.(empty 3/4 of the baby powder out and fill it with corn starch, shake it to mix it ) Just dust it on your body if the item started itching again. It really works! I wish I could tell these brides this little trick. Did you know that little trick? God I miss my mom, what I wouldn't do to spend 1 more day with her. I am 65 yrs old and still pray someday I will be 1 quarter the woman my mom was!!
That sounds like a really cool trick, I’ll have to try it. I’m glad your love your mom so much, sound like she loved you very much back!
Okay.. She is perfect. But as someone who speaks Arabic, the Arabic tattoo on her back is wrong written omg, like it makes no sense, everything wrong, the order of the words and grammar Uhh... :/ :/
Yeah, it was driving me crazy, it's not a proper sentence just words with no meaning.
I tried to read it too and I was like wtf is that 😂😂
Really? Lol what’s it saying
What does it say?
This is why people who aren’t Arabic shouldn’t get Arabic tattoos. It makes no sense to do that anyway
To be fair, that dress looked stunning on her
If i had a figure like hers, half of my problems would already be solved.
This bride is one of my FAVORITES on this show! She's just so sweet ❤
This bride was so sweet. She looked beautiful in her dress!
Im glad she said yes to the dress.. It landed on the perfect person.. And this is my most favorite dress on this show.. Dress was fitting on her absolutely well
like honestly- its so heartbreaking to watch someone have to pay way more than they are comfortable with because someone showed them their dream dress. Im so happy to see something in budget and beautiful, that the bride loves!
Dude these people are strapping her with a dress she doesn’t want. Imagine buying a car and the dealer said dw I can do work to it to have it up to your standards. If you’re paying 100% for a product you should get 100% what you want right there on the spot
Wow super pretty bride! Gorgeous dress 💘
"Live your own life because your own will die death", I translated the tattoo on her back word by word.
So it's a fail? :O
The only reason she didn’t like the 2nd dress was because the neckline and straps, just give her a different option with out the illusion 🤦🏽♀️
I'm glad they showed this. As someone who gets sensory overload/hypersensitivity I can relate, as a lot of my clothes are either very plain, or things I make since I can use fabrics that I like. Honestly, it wouldn't be hard to get rid of an illusion neckline either, just cut the mesh, and do some hand sewing to get something else in there to hold up the lace parts and make sure it stays on.
Why would they pick that when she said she doesn’t like it 💀
The consultant was great to have her in that stunning dress even though she said no illusion. With the second dress it was seen that she could not get what she wanted without illusion and she solved the issue with the designer changing to silk. The bride was so beautiful on that dress.
I LOVE the first dress and I'm so glad she ended up choosing it! It looks STUNNING!! 😍😍😍😍
Her body looks amazing in that dress, fits like a glove
Auntie's smile at 04:49 utterly warmed my heart. Everyone who can should go dress shopping with an Aunt who loves them so genuinely.

she looks stunning in that dress. Lovely!
she only tried 2 dresses. when i get married i need to try all the dresses in the store and might still not find 'the one'. LOL 😂😂
they only show her trying 2 i am sure that she tried load more
That's what I thought. Then I went for my fitting, felt like I am playing dress up. Bought my dress after seeing it on Google and got it sendt to me from the US as there was no representative of Bonny Bridal in Norway. My mum and mum-in-law stitched up the length and it had lace up back, so fitted perfect.
The illusion part is barely visible since her skin tone perfectly matches the color of the beige illusion portion. It's a perfect shade for her natural skin tone.
Illusion dresses ALWAYS look so cheap to me. The mesh just ruins it
I would be so annoyed if my consultant brought out an illusion dress when I said I don’t like it.

Why?
I really like Christine Dando’s designs. Her lace and style is very interesting and different.
Wonderful! Beautiful Bride and its wonderful how she can get it made with silk ♡♡♡ Great family too
The silk tulle is an upgrade. It will probably add about $300 cost to the dress but that is still a bargain considering how perfect that gown is for her.
Bride: dont give me illusion dresses
Person: ok i will
They're acting as if she's hard to please. She said bith dresses were beautiful, but specifically said she didn't like illusion. Then they have her two illusion-woven dresses and told her to pick one almost as if they didn't have any more in the entire shop to try on...
I'm not sure what the bride was so adamant about the illusion neckline? I don't usually like them either but that dress was absolutely stunning! the Back knocked my socks off and the front too. And it looked like it was made on that bride. I certainly would have gone with that dress illusion or no.
Yeah, just compromise...be itchy on one of the most important days of your life.
I don't think people understand how uncomfortable these things can be.
they're going to alter it though so i don't get this complaint lol
"Illusion" can be made in several types, weight and color of material.

I think they just wanted to sell that dress.. It was everything she didn't want... then wanted...but not really.

I'm not a big fan of the consultant. she was questioning everything the bride was saying which could make the bride doubt herself.
Perfect perfect dress I love everything about it I wish we could’ve seen the finished product. I understand how she feels about the illusion but it matches her skin perfectly and unless you were right up on her you wouldn’t even notice it
It's uncomfortable though. It feels terribly itchy when in contact with the skin. It may not be for some people, but at least for me and probably her it is quite uncomfortable.
she looks like a goddess in that first dress😲❤😍
I wish I could’ve seen a non illusion dress on her. She didn’t like it but she was given two illusions and I don’t think that was fair to her.

I think the dress 1 is the best wedding dress i've ever saw as long as i watch SYTD. The detail, the shape, it's so stunning.
