Z moich obserwacji wynika, że większość Polaków jest pozytywnie nastawiona do Wietnamczyków. Bardzo lubimy wietnamską kuchnię, chyba każdy jadł kiedyś kurczaka po wietnamsku. W Polsce przebywa ponad 10 tysięcy Wietnamczyków. Stosunki dyplomatyczne pomiędzy naszymi krajami również są bardzo poprawne, ostatnio nawet Premier Phạm Minh Chính gościł w Polsce.

Don’t fall for all those “How to be fluent in 30 days” scams and understand that listening is more important than speaking, paradoxically. I’m not a big fan of textbooks and apps. Speaking comes quite “fast” once your listening skills are on the right level. This is how you can learn Vietnamese, but I believe you can apply this to other languages: GRAMMAR: Find the target accent you want to learn and learn grammar and some phrases from UA-cam. For the Northern accent, check out „Tieng Viet Oi.” For the Southern accent, try „How To Vietnamese” and „Learn Vietnamese With Annie.” SPEAKING: What people very often don’t understand is that speaking is not as important as listening. Once your listening skills are good, being thrown into speaking for a few weeks with a native speaker works like magic. So after a few months (or even a year) of UA-cam, VTV/Netflix, and shadowing (talking to yourself along with the native speaker from videos and staff), you can use iTalki with a native speaker teacher who has the target accent. ONLY use Vietnamese to communicate, even if you only know a few words, and they will try to explain in English. Quick explanations are okay, but that’s about it. LISTENING: Use the VTV app for the Northern accent (no subtitles at all :/) and Netflix for the Southern accent (use ONLY Vietnamese subtitles, no English, even if you understand 0%. Make some flashcards and replay the movie). I know it’s going to be hard at the beginning. Trust me; I understand the pain. When you go outside to buy something, and no one understands you even though you are 100% sure you said it correctly, it can be frustrating. We are simply not used to speaking tonal languages, but it gets easier. In a world filled with quick shots of dopamine, we struggle to focus on one task for a longer period, but those who are patient are the ones who succeed. Be patient. You will get there soon; just keep practicing every day for about 2 hours, and believe me, it’s not much if you really want to learn. As for spare time, you can always find it. Good luck!
@scally-yk8jt I don't think they have ASSiMiL for Vietnamese. I've never used it, but I’ve heard that it’s an amazing way of learning languages, very respected program among polyglots, and in many cases, it should be the way to go for learning a foreign language. I bought ASSiMiL for Mandarin Chinese, but for now, it’s just collecting dust, waiting for when I start learning Mandarin Chinese in the future. I will 100% start with ASSiMiL though!

Bardzo dobre pytanie. Regiony sie bardzo roznia pod katem jedzenie, sposobu bycia, oraz co najbardziej zauwazalne akcentu. Moglbym sie rozpisywac w nieskonczonosc ale przykladowo roznica w akcencie jest tak duza ze czasami wietnamczycy maja problem sie porozumiewac ze soba. W Polsce mamy glownie wietnamczykow z polnocy wiec mi to na rele z racji ze mieszkalem (aktualnie mieszkam) w Hanoi, ale kiedy przychodzi mi rozmawiac z ludzmi z poludnia albo ze srodka(najgorzej lol) to mam ochote sie poddac xD
